Brew'd — Restaurant in Invercargill City

I’ve eaten here a few times now as the food has been consistently tasty and the service always friendly. Plus I like the toilets - they are modern and clean and have hand lotion🤣 However there is often something that doesn’t go quite right. For example the staff never seem to know anything if you ask them about things on the menu. Today I was served up mains on a tiny plate with high sides so it was impossible to avoid things falling off the plate onto the table. They didn’t bring any cutlery with the food. Staff were friendly, polite helpful. Cafe was lovely . One of us had the hamburger which was lovely, price ! , seriously ott , blue cod meal was sadly lacking due to unable to grill or pan fry also unhealthy part outsized the heathy hugely, sadly in this day and age more awareness needs to be given on heathy eating, as our hospitals staff are struggling to handle heart heath etc issues. No salad at all offered and a cabbage chickpea salad in a very small container 1/2 a cup at best sadly lacking with fry chips/ battered fish .

I chose this place for breakfast as it was the only one that was open before 9am on a Sunday

The staff we're lovely but I sat at one of the only available tables which happened to have dishes from the previous guests and despite staff walking past several times it took about 10 mins for my table to be cleared.

The coffee was great but the big breakfast just ok, had everything to fill the gap but nothing overly exciting or delicious. There was about a 20-30min wait for food and coffee which would have been nice to know when ordering but I wasn't in a rush...
