Mangere Kiwi Roast — Restaurant in Māngere-Ōtāhuhu

I had a great dinner from here tonight.

Their medium pork roast was bulging with meat and completely filled my equally bulging stomach 🤣 I especially enjoyed the sweet pumpkin, which imo is rare to find at roast places. This signals to me that the owners take a lot of care in the quality of the product that they are serving.

They are also very proud owners as the store was spotless. They were also very quick to come forward to serve while their colleague was serving the last customer. They were friendly and warm to customers

Only downside was that the meat, while juicy, was a bit bland without the gravy. I would also ask for more gravy as there wasn’t a lot (because of all the meat!). But I’d definitely go back. It was very very tasty and...

Our favourite takeaway in Mangere! Best roast shop in Auckland. Super yummy with very filling and generous portions. Polite and friendly service from the husband and wife team. There is a review on here which I am 100% sure is complete lies about cockroaches on the food. I had a good meal, the food is tasty and the staffer who took my order and payment was great as one would expect, nothing out of the ordinary. However the staffer who brought my meal to my table was a little estranged as she almost threw my dinner plate on my table and then walked away laughing. I think it may be a one off event. Will try again and hope its not the 2nd and final time I eat there as the food is good and the place is comfortable...
