Firstly this is supposed to be family friendly and clearly is not it is a saftey and health hazard. Power points almost falling out of the wall around bedding which could start a fire though looks like it already has in the Living room area!! The rest of the power points either spark or never work. Also usually family friendly accommodation has hot chocolate avaliable but there was none to be seen and when I asked a staff member she replied with no but we can give you coffee even when I had told her it was for my 3 year old. Getting in the shower was a terrifying experience the wood around the shower was rotting black with fungus. And the shower door clearly had not been cleaned for a long time. When you pay a price equivalent to that of 2 nights in a five star luxury hotel in central Auckland that is clean; you would at least expect to get out of the shower feeling clean. The kitchen was clean from first sight but wasn't until we started to use dishes that we realized how bad it was. we ended up having to clean the lot ourselves as they all had food stuck to them or hairs the coping Board had black mold growing on it. When we arrived we also were greeted with one very rude staff member though the rest were reasonable until we were told to wait 20 minutes instead waited for 40 with a restless 3 year old. In the end we were booked for two nights but only ended up staying the one, as it was such a hazard to our daughter we ended up paying for the night we didn't stay and for another hotel room in a hotel we know we could trust. One of the worst experiences ever !!!

Me and my family were treated poorly by the guy at the front desk. We are a family of 9 people traveling to Auckland for our first time and were forced a penalty for having extra guests (including 4 years old kid). He was very rude to us that he cut me off everytime i want to reason with him. He truly portrayed racism towards people from other races and gave us a really bad impression towards people in New Zealand. His attitude towards us didn't just end here. We reserved hotel shuttle for 9 people ahead, but he forced us to leave the motel in 2 MINUTES, otherwise he will not provide us the ride to the airport. When I tried to ask for his name (he knew he's at fault, and the photo attached is the only thing I had on him), he refused to tell me and just walked away. I really hope the management from Auckland Airport Lodge can look into this matter seriously as it definitely destroys the impression of guests towards the lodge as well as new zealand. Please feel free to contact me if you need more info or evidence.

To be honest, we did not expect much other than a bed to sleep in. When we arrived at the airport, we called the hotel and they sent a free shuttle to come pick us up. It was a great service and really helpful! We got the key to our room, and we were really amazed just how great the room was! Nice and neat beds, newer clean kitchen and same goes for the bathroom. The next day we had to leave the area and planned on ordering a cab, but when we asked the guy working the reception he actually offered to drive us there, for free! Amazing service and positivity from the staff. (It should be noted that this service isn't something they can promise as it depends on how busy they are). If you are in need of breakfast, there is a really good bakery up the road called Central Bakery. Overall this is a perfect hotel for staying a short while, like arriving/departing from the airport.

We recently stayed in the deluxe two bedroom family apartment (#31 upstairs & #21 downstairs), before & after our trip to Rarotonga. We were a group of 2 couples. Parking was right outside our room which was fantastic. Indicate a downstairs room if you do not want to carry your bags up the stairs. ||Rooms were great & all that we needed, with 2 separate bedrooms & a large enough kitchen/dining area & bathroom. TV, aircon's, & free wifi were all operational at the time of our stay. Room cleanliness I would rate a 3.5 out of 5 (our room was not dirty as many past reviews have indicated - some historical staining & tired areas contributed to a lower score). I will give the owners a few suggested tweaks & feedback directly to them in a separate email.||To have free secure carparking while we were away & free shuttle service to/from the airport was bonus & fantastic!! You will need to load your own bags onto the shuttle trailer ~600mm off the ground, but if you are not prepared to lift your own bags then you should not pack a heavy bag & expect someone else to injure their back lifting it.||We had an amazing Indian dinner delivered to our door the first night from Indian Express at 149 D Kirkbride Rd (menu's are in the rooms), pay over the phone or upon delivery. We also checked out the Post Office Public House only a few minutes from the Airport Lodge at 55 Montgomerie Rd for lunch - which was fabulous!!||We would stay again & recommend as a good value option for a group, considering room configuration, service available & proximity to...
