Most Ludicrous price in this while entire country for a small snap squeeze tomato sauce to enjoy with my daughter's savoury potato top pie. $1.50!!!!! Can you believe? Never in my life have I ever come across it, ever. The owners of this cafeteria should seriously rethink about this. Wouldn't you prefer to know that your patrons were enjoying their powers properly with tomato sauce rather with none. For I witnessed every single person eating pieces in here today, all without sauce. As they weren't mad enough to spend that rediculous price on such a thing.

So extremely disappointed. Paid $27.50 for the bacon pancakes to find the pancakes similar to the ones I buy in the supermarket, not fresh, dry and all perfectly shaped and thickness all round… these were not made fresh, I ordered and it came out 9 minutes later. As for the banana, I had to remove the skin off it myself. The bacon was enough for half of the pancakes. The only decent thing on this plate was the maple syrup and the garden they threw on top to make it look pretty. 27.50 for this is extremely unacceptable

This cafe in Whanganui is always clean with friendly helpful staff. However this week they went over and beyond any expectations. The kind lady who works there maybe the manager remembered I had brought 2 take away macaroni and cheeses to take away and I had accidentally left them behind on the table without me even saying anything as was my fault. She gave me 2 brand new ones even though it was my stuff up. I said she didnt have to but she insisted. Highly impressed. Not to many businesses do this nowadays.

Hi I’m just messaging because I’m still appalled at what I witnessed from staff today. I came in and there was a very elderly lady in there from what I could sense she had dementia. She was trying to make her mind up on what to order and the older Asian woman was being very rude to her saying “she couldn’t get this because not enough” saying “I already told you what that was” or got so frustrated with this old lady and said “just tell me what you want” where is the customer service. Where is the good will to help an old lady out by a couple of dollars it’s not like yous can’t afford it always busy always getting money. This lady was old and confused yet the person behind the counter didn’t give two hoots. It took customers to talk to her and offer money because she really wanted lasagna. I’m absolutely appalled by this. I will never come back and will not support a business who does this to elderly people. But a young blonde girl came to the counter and served that beautiful old lady with the respect...

Went into the cafe today, excited to try their new matcha– I’m a matcha lover. I ordered an iced strawberry matcha along with other items. When I was given my matcha the first thing I noticed was the colour of the syrup/jam? It was purple. Strawberries- Pink? I was concerned but took a sip and sure enough, it was mixed berry! Not strawberry. I may sound dramatic but I personally didn’t like it, so I was just going to drink the matcha and not mix in the jam. The matcha was dry and bitter. It wasn’t made correctly or possibly the brand. Safe to say it was not a favourite and was left behind. I love the pies, menu items and cabinet items but the matcha was not it! $9.50 as well, big turn off. Ended up having to go to my regular spot and buy...

This place was just OK, was one of the few options on the couple of days after New Year that wasn't packed and noisy. I had the smashed avocado benedict which was similar to what I might make at home, would have been a lot nicer without the addition of vinaigrette which lent it an odd, acrid undertone. My husband's chicken burger was quite average and contained processed cheese and chicken. We also ordered an omelette which looked well cooked but again similar to something we might make at home. Appreciated having the option of outdoor seating and the coffee was nice. Found the menu contained a lot of egg dishes and I hate eggs in most contexts so perhaps biased for...
