We visited for the lunchtime buffet deal which was great value. The offerings are pretty limited but generally good. Things had obviously been sitting out for a while, so the noodles and some other foods were dry. A drink was included for us. The desserts were pretty basic - mainly milk/jelly based puddings.

I love the waterfall chicken.. The chicken is fried at perfection (the skin is crispy and well marinated as well.) šŸ’•šŸ„° The ginger/turmeric rice is pretty good too.. No issue with it. It's definitely recommended and we'll come back again next time we are in Wanganui. :)

Beef stew, calamari, springrolls and slow cooked pork. Definitely had better in Auckland at the Vietnam Cafe and Sam Woos, still good though, but just felt like those other places used better ingredients and were more true to the recipes and flavours.

Xin chĆ o! The Vietnamese kitchen that Whanganui has been waiting for!!! Highly recommended. Now with Gluten Free and other dietary options. Good value, clean, good vibe. The only reason this is not 5 star is the absence of traditional herbs like Vietnamese Mint and Thai Basil from dishes like Pho and the fresh salads. The addition of these would make it my top Vietnamese option in the Whanganui- Manawatu regions.

The best Vietnamese I have enjoyed serves the broth and salad for Pho as a bowl and salad side. The beans, herbs, salad and sauces can then be added to the bowl to taste. This engages the culture of the dish by garnering interest in the not so common herbs like Vietnamese mint etc. It also helps to feel like something different compared to other places.

All in all, a good pho and the spring rolls are the best I’ve had outside of veitnam. I’m working towards becoming a...

What a fantastic place to dine or just snack. A great variety of yummy foods and beverages. I always mean to take a photo of the dishes I order but the aroma and visual delight always got the better of me and I'd just tuck in.ā˜ŗļø To round off a leisurely dining experience you can enter your car rego on the tablet and get an extra 4 hours parking in the enclosed parking area outside. Oh, btw my faves are their hot chocolate, Sundaes, Prawns, or Poached eggs on freshly baked bread with a yummy sauce. Their service is charming, efficient, and quick, and the dining ambience is delightful, surrounded by colourful lanterns and golden ornaments that truly invites one to linger and maybe order more, like a desert or even another...

A mixed review unfortunately. We were looking forward to trying out this new restaurant. Mistakenly, when I booked the table, I neglected to ask about food allergies. In this day and age I thought restaurants were aware of the issues of dairy, gluten, eggs, nut etc intolerances. In this case they had no mention of any allergy options on their menu. My wife's intolerance is medical, not lifestyle, so she had no option but to decline eating. Staff weren't able to reassure her that they could cater for her. On the upside, I chose a starter and a main to takeaway. I enjoyed the food but we won't be able to go back while there are no...
