HKS — Restaurant in Maungakiekie-Tāmaki

We spend 40 dollars expecting to eat a couple of delicious waffles. Unfortunately, they were not up the expectation. The dough itself was good, but that was the only thing you could taste. The topping was almost nonexistent: one little crumbled oreo, literally 7 chocolate cereal balls, and half tea spoon of a chocolate, which was supposed to be Nutella but it wasn't. Next time, with that money, I will consider buying a 750g of Nutella jar in pak'nsave and any other sweet thing my heart desires. Perhaps in that way, I won't leave the mall with unsatisfied...

I been here so many times as I love waffle🙃 Today was the very bad experience of all I have had this issue before as well with the lady getting rude but today she was over the top very very very very rude .. was trying to order waffle and she kept on talking very rudely and couldn’t even explain properly she kept on reading from the menu continuously when I can see that of course asked her name it was tippy or Timmy couldn’t get properly . We cancelled the order at the last as couldn’t bear her rudeness.. it...

This place is OK - especially for something in a mall. It has lots of good seating around it. Plenty of people have commented about it being overpriced, and I think that criticism is quite fair, though the similar place downstairs is not much cheaper and has no seating.
