Katsubi Dress Smart — Restaurant in Maungakiekie-Tāmaki

I went there a few weeks ago to get lunch and the Island lady served me, she’s always rushed dishing the food without listening to what the customer is requesting. When I asked for the Japanese sauce she quickly splurted on bbq sauce. She never said sorry she just said I’ll make it again. Katsubi is my favourite dishes which I have never had problems with from other places like Sylvia park, Northwest and Henderson.

Today the 10/02/2023 I went there to get lunch while waiting for an appointment. The same Island lady was there. I asked for a big bowl she dished the food on a regular bowl, I asked for japanese mayonnaise again she pour on bbq sauce. I said to her this is not the first time you’ve mucked up my order, she quickly said I’ll do it again and she started dishing another bowl of food and her fingers are inside the bowl touching the food she dishing, how gross. She has no people skills or any respectful manners whatsoever. She doesn’t even know how to apogise or even said sorry. I’m absolutely disgusted with her unprofessional and poor customer service. These people are ripping everyone off by charging so much for a large bowl and you get your food in a medium bowl for a an extra piece of chicken...

Literally got the worst feeling in my life. Went there to get some food but ended up buying nothing. As it shows it open at 10am which was not true so we were fine to wait till 10:30am. When the store opened there was a guy getting order when we get there again at 10:30 and some other people start to come after us. As we were waiting to order our meal but they completely ignored us and started take other order, which made us feel very bad at their attitude. As I know the service has to be give for those who come first. You guys better know about this for you to make your business better. I used to love to come to this place but from now would never think about...

What a zero customer service experience ever. Not even a single greeting from the staff. Don’t expect for a smile 😄… My wife ordered a ramen. They didn’t advise us that they are running out of eggs upon ordering. They just told my wife that they were running out of egg after they bring the food out and they said replace it with more meat for the substitution. The worst thing was, the staff hand the food over to my wife by putting it on top of the trash bin. It was incredibly unacceptable. Guess that they have no food safety handling knowledge what so ever...
