The Coffee Club Dress Smart — Restaurant in Maungakiekie-Tāmaki

Avoid at all cost. Ordered an almond croissant for my 7 year old. When they served it, it was all chewy and soggy my boy refused to eat it...I asked the server, it turns out they microwaved the croissant. Ew. They suggested if I want the croissant toasted. I said yes, thinking they'll replace the croissant with a new toasted one. Nope, they just toasted the same microwaved croissant so the texture was even worse when it came out. I also wasn't asked if I wanted it toasted or microwaved, at least I would've said my preference if they asked although I didn't think it was an option to microwave croissants at all as that would completely ruin the texture.

I also asked another server for a butter knife so I could slice the croissant - she passed me a knife with scraps of food in it. I pointed it out to her. She apologised and replaced it but yep, we were so grossed out at that point that I just didn't want to touch any cutlery of theirs.

We left with the croissant still mostly intact and no, I didn't try to get a refund. I'm just never...

don't bother... easily the worst coffee club ever, brings shame to the franchise name. started with incompetent register staff, then an over 20 minute wait for food (for only three people and out of the cabinet), in which time they tried to give us other peoples orders, those people had been waiting even longer! finally gave us our food (not in the same five minutes either- bit by bit) and coffee, which was cold, and uncooked. the panini was so cold that the cheese hadn't even started to melt, and the pastry of the sausage roll was completely uncooked. we were not given anything to eat with either; when we asked for knives and forks they brought us two sets... for three people eating.... safe to say these clowns cannot do simple math let alone run a franchised cafe. save yourself the time and buy a coffee bubble tea from gong cha and a burger...

We were so disappointed to get the sandwiches and chips after seeing the picture in the menu and then getting this cheap-as looking plate arrive at our table. We ordered the BLT and asked to swap bacon for halloumi which they did, but for $24 this is honestly terrible. They told me that the picture was only of the club sandwich and the other sandwiches don't look like that. The menu is very misleading then because the main title says Sandwiches and Chips so you would expect all the sandwich options to be similar size portions - they are all similar price too. To get one sandwich (two pieces of plain white bread) with a handful of chips is such a rip off. I would not recommend this Coffee Club and will...
