Re:Circle Onehunga Mall — Local services in Maungakiekie-Tāmaki

I recently used recircle as a seller. I hired a rack for 4 weeks and lost 3 items in the end including a genuine lv bag which has a security tag on. To put in perspective, I made 180 net in 4 weeks but the bag probably is worth more. I wouldn't have written this negative review but the last straw was that no apology was offered. Staff was dismissive and defensive, and the owner refused to check the camera footage even though I lost the bag within the last week. The owner said only if i can pinpoint a time he could check, which was impossible and unhelpful for the seller as we were not in the shop when the theft happened. He said items can be misplaced but the bag was placed on top of the shelf and hence unlikely misplaced. And it has been a week after the final day. I promise I will update this review if my bag is retrieved, to keep it fair.

The payment was also late by 3 weeks after I talked twice in person with the staff on the last two days. No explanation, reassurance or apology was given despite acknowledging that I was not the only one that raised this issue that weekend. I then emailed the owner twice and finally got paid. Again no apology or explanation was offered. Overall very disappointing security and customer service. As a seller we have few rights and there is no incentive for them to improve security.

Update: the bag was sold after the last day but I was only notified 2 weeks after. The whole experience remains very disappointing largely due to the disingenuous and disrespectful attitude of the shop - not a single sorry was said except in the public reply to the review. Also the owner shifted responsibility by saying I didn't leave the bank account number hence the late payment (3 weeks late) which is totally untrue. Plus, 2 more items still...

I’ve been selling at Re:Circle since October last year, and the experience has been nothing short of excellent. Setting up a stall is incredibly easy, and Henrick, the owner, has been wonderfully supportive—always willing to help and make the process smooth.

Beyond selling, I love shopping there too! The variety is amazing, with everything from clothes and home décor to children’s clothing and toys. I’m excited to continue my stall here and highly recommend Re:Circle to both sellers...

Very pricey - doesn't make sense for the location but I guess it's good if you want to sell. If you're just looking to buy, I would recommend the other second-hand stores on that one road (where money actually goes to a good cause instead of a profit-driven business). Lots of Hello Kitty in the kids section. Do like that they use velour clothing hangers so stuff doesn't slip off. The jewellery didn't seem very interesting though as they were all generic as in they lacked...
