I do enjoy this place, would give a 3.5 actually(half a point lost, as the prices are a little steep, but I only dine here say once a every 2-3months with my toddler, so it’s worth it in my eyes for my child’s happiness). My only suggestions are the ordering and waiting area should somehow be made separate or clear signs telling people to ‘stand here’ to order and ‘stand here or receive orders’. I’ve come here for many many years & the amount of times I see people standing ‘in the line’ pretty much, with people all behind them & the whole time they weren’t even waiting to order. They were just standing ‘in the way’ waiting for their food. I always move right away from the ‘waiting to order’ area once I’m done, to also help with congestion, as if people continue to stand where they just ordered, it makes the lines end up out the door unnecessarily. Some people have kids etc, so they got to stand outside in the cold sometimes and with people smoking outside around them and the children etc. So the ‘Line’ is really my only issue here. Parking is ok(roadside im meaning) - lets just say, thank goodness KFC doesn’t actually take action on the towing of cars parking in their car park 😬 I see staff cleaning regularly so that’s a plus. Their service is prompt and straight forward- which is good to serve the amount of customers they get...
Read moreIf I could give less than 1 star I would. The staff were uninterested in the customers and honestly couldn't care a less. Upon ordering a 2 large soft drinks priced at $4.60 each, the attendant tells me the Raspberry flavour has run out and may taste a little odd and then proceeds to give the drink 3/4 filled, so I ask her to top it up with Orange Fanta, when we actually tried the drinks the Sprite we also ordered tasted like water...so I recommend not to buy drinks other than the bottled or milk/thickshakes. The burgers were ok, not the greatest but the major yuck factor was the American Hotdog which honestly was just an overcooked old mouldy bunned mess...yep, the bun had mould clearly visible yet the staff still toasted and served it. Ollies used to be a fun happy memory of childhood, now its just a run down dirty dump where the staff don't give a damn and serve old expired food and drinks. I really hope they get a visit from the health department or the 'check your stock police', I mean...
Read moreThis place reminds me of an old school diner drive through which serves the basic burger, hot dogs, and ice cream. We ordered the cheeseburger combo, ollies hot dog, and nuggets. Overall the taste was average and felt like you could've made the same level of food by doing a BBQ in your backyard (especially the burger and hotdog). Felt like the patty and hot dog was bought from countdown/pack n save and just flame grilled on their burner. The fries tasted good though. With all that said, the diner has a long history it seemed like and I respect diners that serve the local community for over 45+ years (they truly dont exist anymore). The environment is clearly for young kids with all the arcade games and open space for them to run around. Serving a wide selection of ice cream makes this place a popular location during summertime! All in all, its a great community quick eat, and an alternative to McDonalds if you want...
