I was given a free pizza because I complaint about the pizza I ordered from Manukau Auckland so I went to Mt Wellington and redeemed my free pizza and I can tell you that there is a huge difference on the quality of pizza made of the Mt Wellington branch compare to Manukau branch. The Mt Wellington Sals pizza tasted good, fresh and not burnt while the Manukau brach pizza was dry, burnt, not enough mozarella and no good at all...I dont know if this is franchise or owned by one company but the management needs to fix something in that Manukau branch before they start losing all their customers...because one bad experience will affect all of your Sals stores like a wildfire...We are in 2021 and people nowadays value quality. Mt Wellington Sal's is trying to keep your company's standard so your other branch like the Manukau branch should do the same. When I get the chance to buy Sal's from your other branch I will buy and if the quality is not as good as the one in Mt Wellington then I will surely write a bad review about that branch...
Read moreThe branch on Mt Wellington highway is on the way home so I stopped by to grab some takeaway pizzas. Like other Sals, they do the New York style pizzas which are large but thin. You are able to order online but I ended up just heading there to order. The shop is located in the block of shops down the road from Sylvia Park, Diagonally to the Woolworths. The place is decent sized with booths on one side and tables on the other. The counter has screens above it with the pizza options, which is quite large. I ended up getting a half and half with the five boroughs and the Staten Island. The five boroughs was really good. The toppings were sploched all over the pizza and they had different flavours so the entire slice never had the same taste. The Staten Island wasn't bad but I preferred the five boroughs. The branch was clean and it didn't take too long to get the order done. It is a nice place to grab some large pizza...
Read moreGreat pizza but possibly the worst service at a food venue EVER. The guy serving all but threw the food at us. I felt terribly for the lady also working there who was lovely but just completely thrown off her game by this guy. Our orders got mixed up, came late and we had to ask twice for parts that had been missed. A real shame and so so unnecessary. The first place we went to was Sals Manukau and they told us they wouldnt make fresh pizza for us and that we could only buy what was pre-made on the counter. The rationale was that they had so many delivery orders to fill. However it was midday on a Friday and we were physically there in the store about to spend a few hundred dollars as there were a bunch of us. No apology. Just a like it or lump it attitude. So I won't be back. Ever....
