Wendy's Hamburgers — Restaurant in Maungakiekie-Tāmaki

Wendy's Royal oak has always been good with there food and customer service recently I've been finishing work late so grabbing dinner has been abit of a show the night staff are very rude there is a new young supervisor who is very rude and needs to work on her customer service I will no longer be going to this brunch, FYI morning staff are always good very welcoming great customer service but tonight 11th September 2024 I went into the restaurant everyone was standing around frontline staff had her back to the restaurant, I asked for fresh chicken stripes to only hear Supervisor say they are fresh they were literally cold yet under the warmer she proceeds to say in a low tone how fresh does she want them , they continued to stand around the corner and mumble to one another which I found was rude I was being considerate and came inside instead of going through drive thru and holding up the drive thru, night staff need to work on there customer service behavior cause I found this experience very poor especially Supervisor needs to be a better role model for...

Not the first time they got the order wrong. 3-4 times they missed one of the items I ordered. Staffs are very friendly and got me the full meal.

Recently, twice in 2 weeks they got my order wrong. I ordered chicken but got beef instead, again.

The meat is overcooked, dry and tasteless. I can see two pieces of bacon in my burger but I cant taste them, bland, disapointing. Eating this beef burger is like chewing a gum thats from an hour ago.

I remember a few years back when I was in AUT, I would go to Wendy's almost every day for lunch because their burgers are delicious and the drink is extra large. Their chicken used to be very fresh, juicy. Beef was well cooked and tasty. Bacon was crunchy. WAS...

I guess there is a reason McDonald next door has a very long drive thru queue and Wendy's has none almost everytime I'm here. Quality control is not a thing in this restaurant.

I'm not sure if the manager would see this. Hope for the best. Not gonna return to this...

The restaurants, since they were restyled, are a lot brighter and airy. I do like the industrial look furniture and furnishings, but not so much a fan of the fake plastic greenery. I like the greenery but it would be so much nicer if there were real plants. When dining in your order is delivered to your table, which is nice. The chilli dish servings seem a lot smaller than they used to be. On our last visit it wasn't heated well, which was disappointing to have lukewarm chilli.

Update 2024. Greenery is gone replaced by kiosks for ordering. Slow process. Long wait for food and they don't include utensils or napkins with a takeaway order. You have to get your own. Yet the counter had none. The containers were empty. No acknowledgement or smile from staff and no apology for lack of utensils and napkins. Sour cream not provided but was supposed to come with my order. Given the disinterested staff I didn't bother following that up with...
