Takitimu Seafoods Napier — Restaurant in Napier

Came here today was really looking forward to some fresh fish I ordered the kids meal it suppose to have a fish hotdog chicken nuggets and 1/4 scoop and small drink there was no hot dogs so I got a sausage instead plus I didn't want the drink I asked for a few extra chips was told yip .there was a 40 min wait that was disgusting where was there helpers anyway I said ok.later I seen the lady get her meal that was in front of me get hers so I went in there waiting for my number to be called but nufin.so I asked they handed me this meal that was ditty on a shelf .so went off to have my lunch well there was no fish no chicken nuggets all there was was a a don't I didn't order the sausage and chips very disappointed.also I get home not long after and I am crook with stumick pain ended up with direa . food poisoning so won't ever go...

Avoid.

Delivered inedible bad smelling gurnard and thawed dumplings. Took my money and received inedible seafood in return. Offered no refund on off gurnard and partial refund on 1KG thawed prawn dumplings. (ignored request for extra ice so products arrived thawed.)

Estimate we spent in excess of $1000.00 on delivered seafood in the last 12 months with Takatimu Seafoods. But after at least 4 x orders delivered thawed and not able to get a refund on this order will not buy from Takitimu Seafoods again.

If you want to take the risk of losing your hard earned money on this bunch good luck.

Shoddy and plain dumb business practice where the regular weekly spending customer is treated with disdain.

Never mind, off we go to shop elsewhere. Recommend you do the same.

Undoubtedly the best seafood outlet in Napier. We ordered Snapper fillets and Scallops to take out and have to say they were fresh and cooked to perfection - really delicious to say the least and good value for money. We asked for lemons and didn't get any served and no tartare sauce was available - however their seafood sauce was tasty. Staff very pleasant, serving and eating areas spotless. We noticed that the crab meat was approx twice the price per kg than it is at say Moore Wilsons in Wellington so pays to check prices and not assume everything is at a wholesale pricing level - however overall a must to visit in Napier if wanting a decent fish and chip meal - choices available the best I have seen anywhere - two thumbs up...
