The Deck Cafe Tahuna — Restaurant in Nelson

Unfortunately I came with this review because I found the service very unprofessional. I arrived before 11:00 am, waited on a long queue, then on my time to order, I wasn’t able to order what I want because the option I chose was available from just from 9:00 to 11:00 am, the time was exactly 11:00 am when I tried ordering it and the person behind the counter, apparently the manager, saw it was exactly 11:00 am, didn’t think twice to give me a rough answer. I ended up not ordering anything. My friends that were with me had a bad service in general and the coffee they ordered came without any crema, low professionalism in my opinion. Called in after a walk with friends today. We all had a scone and a coffee. Lovely atmosphere and we loved the outside area at the side of the Cafe. Staff were lovely. Scone was nice, but two of us were disappointed with our coffees. I was going to pop in after finishing just to let you know our thoughts, but you were busy so didn't want to hold you up. Coffee was barely warm, and quite bitter. I did ask for caramel in mine, but I'm sure there was none in there, which was disappointing as we'd paid for the caramel. We stayed at the holiday park and went there for dinner. The food was average-below average. The big breakfast meal was not worth the money. Smallest amounts of items on the plate and it wasn't hot either. The chicken schnitzel was pretty good but mushroom sauce was very bland and the chips looked very old.

The atmosphere was OK, a lady who we saw, who seemed like the manager was very unprofessional. Being very loud and having a go at the younger staff members over watering the plants in front of us.
