Embarking on a delectable takeaway adventure with Two Little Fish unveils a dedication to cleanliness and freshness evident in their hand-filleted crumbed hoki fish—an emblem of Kiwi culinary excellence. This flavourful delight is presented in paper, boasting a burst of flavor and an absence of the typical oil smell, emphasising the establishment's unwavering commitment to quality. Accompanying this culinary marvel is a generously portioned burger, elevating the takeaway experience beyond the ordinary. What distinguishes Two Little Fish is not only the size of their offerings but also the meticulous attention to detail in hand-filleting their fish, with the daily Gurnard fish reaching top-notch levels of premium quality. The efficiency and friendliness of the staff further enhance the overall experience, positioning Two Little Fish as a standout in the realm of takeaway fish and chips. Operating within a limited timeframe from 4.30 pm to 7.30 pm daily adds an exclusive touch, ensuring that each order reflects the pinnacle of freshness. The bustling atmosphere, evident by the line extending out the door, attests to the popularity of this establishment. Keep in mind that attempting to place a phone order can be challenging due to high demand, so plan your takeaway adventure wisely before the 7.30 pm cutoff—an oversight made only once. In the realm of New Zealand's fish and chips, Two Little Fish stands tall as a beacon of authenticity, excellence, and handcrafted quality. This culinary gem is a noteworthy addition to the list of top-notch Kiwi takeaways, promising a takeaway journey that encapsulates the spirit of the Kiwi's beloved dish, complemented by the unmistakable expertise of hand filleting.

Disappointing experience for three reasons. Firstly order over the phone was really hard as they wre struggling to understand what the order was and so had to repeat multiple times. In the end the order was still wrong with extra things that we didn't want and missing some things we did want. We ended up being charged for extra cheese (that we didnt want) and the burger came out with NO cheese! Secondly was told about 15-20min where in fact it took over 30mins. Lastly once we actually got the food it wasn't that great at all. The burger had old bread, was bland and used chicken nugget like things. Kumara chips were overcooked and some were quite burnt. Overall for a $36 meal it was a let down. Seems like maybe staffing problems or they are just too busy and can't maintain the quality fish and chips they seem to be known for.

Best fish and chips in Nelson, hands down. The chips are always fresh and the oil is clean. The fish of the day is usually fresh gurnard, and is cooked perfectly. There is a wide range of in store made burgers each with a little local twist. I loved the Haulashore Hawaiian and the Stoke Steak. Big burgers with quality ingredients. Quick friendly service also. A quick update. I ordered a fish Burger, 1/2 scoop of chips and a piece of fish for $19. All was cooked and served perfectly. You cannot get that value and quality from maccas.

I grew up in this area, there has been a fish and chips shop in this location for at least 30 years. So figured I would try this one out to bring back fond memories of school lunches from here. I was not disappointed, a wet, cold winter night, the little shop was packed with locals grabbing their meals and going. I ordered a piece of grilled fish and a burger along with some fries and a battered sausage. Must say the best fish and chips I've had in ages. My father enjoyed his grilled fish, now he usually catches and cooks his own, so this says a lot. The fish was cooked perfectly. The fries were also cooked to perfection hot and non greasy. My burger and battered sausage also were spot on. I would recommend Two Little Fish to anyone looking for a good feed of...
