Aroy Thai Eatery - Porirua — Restaurant in North Island

Visited tonight 14-3-25 for TakeAway. I had Chicken Padthai very nice flavour and noodles cooked exactly right. There was plenty of chicken and the meal was very filling. Well done guys. We will be back. Old review below: Nice clean eatery and staff very welcoming. I had crispy pork noodles. Pork was flavoured well but could have been crisper. Noodle were well overcooked and had become stodgy and clumpy but flavour was Vgood. Not the best i have ever had. Would try their Duck dish next time and see if things improve. Always been a fan of Tom Yum soup from Aroy Thai. But disappointed today the way order was taken at 8:30pm as the store closes at 9pm. The guy was rude and did not bother to have any customer service. Reached 9pm to pick up the order and got home to realise order missed items paid for. Paid for a veg Tom Yum with rice - rice was missing and crispy pork Tom Yum with noodles. The soup did not taste anything similar to the usual Tom Yum from Aroy Thai. It was bland, no chilli (usually red in color but this time yellow) and absolutely waste of money. If they couldn’t provide the same quality food why bother to take late order. Will never...

the food was amazing, but the service. present cashier was inefficient with customer service; doesn’t recommend dishes when customers are deciding, or asking about the menu. she stares blankly at you, takes your order with a straight face and speaks in a low tone. her service alone ruined the first time experience, but the food really topped it up. when delivered the food, the server was much more efficient and happy spirit; asked and provided reassurance about our meal. there was no wait time for our food, so that was really a huge factor! excited to try...
