Grossly Overpriced. I used to love coming from time to time to Columbus Coffee. Nice weather is a treat to have a good cup of Joe and bit of a cake on the side. Missed a good hearty breakfast this morning so decided to treat myself. Sadly the cost of life seems to have landed hard in this place. "Big Columbus Breakfast" is not near what used to be. I mean look at the pic attached. Does that look "big" breakfast for $30? No bacon, no tomato relish on the side and one hash brown. Granded was not a thin cheap one and cooked to perfection but company 2 cheap cocktail sausages. Speaking of sausages, I'll to go outside that have charity sausage sale to satisfy my hunger and that says a bit. Plus I don't know if they ,the barista, know the difference between an iced espresso and a frappe. Will give another chance to Columbus Coffee but not getting the breakfast here anymore. Not worth the high price

Columbus Coffee Petone was our sneaky Sunday Brunch Date location this weekend. As always, the service and meals were impeccable. The smiles & banter of the staff are so welcoming, and we really enjoy the atmosphere and delicious food. Today we sampled the eggs benny with mushrooms and the big breakfast. The eggs were cooked to perfection (soft n runny for him, and a bit firmer for myself). The #pinkyslice is sooo moreish, it hit the sweet spot too. Thanks team for being such awesome people and providing wonderful meal options.

Staff members have been rude, abrupt and unhelpful both times i have been. Cabinet food runs out while you are in the queue and they won't make more. Chips are only possible as a side if ordering a burger not a non red meat option like frittata. Slices are mixed (one tasted nice but was served with cream even though I was asked and requested the yogurt option the other - carrot cake - was super oily). Coffee is also expensive and tasted burnt / bitter. There was bird sh$t on the table, chairs and kids high chairs.

The food looks delish however after ording and going to sit down, there was egg or someones leftover breakfast all over the table and chair. I asked one of the staff if they could wipe it so we could sit down. She was not happy or helpful infact she used the same wash cloth on both the table and chair (WTH)?! Then she put the wash cloth back on the bench where someone else could possibly use it with out it being washed. We finally got our breakfast and when the staff member passed me the plate, she dropped the plate and the knife and fork fell on the floor and she rolled her eyes before picking it up. I'm sorry but horrible service and the breakfast was average. Staff are sloppy and just look miserable, they look as though they hate their job and dont want to be there. Maybe a management change is in order. I have to say this was my experience throughout the whole store. Tired,...

I do not normally like to give bad reviews however we have going to this cafe for many years and thought we would treat ourselves. We love the variety of food on offer in their cabinet, however today it was not the same. Bad mistake. Arriving just on 12.30pm we thought we might not get a table as the carpark was quite full outside. However there only 4 tables occupied.I ordered our food and went to the table where my husband was sitting. He asked me to look around. Every empty table had food on it that had not been cleared and the table we had still had crumbs on it No atmosphere at all and when my Bennie bagel arrived I realised it had been changed to a Bennie roll. Actually it was in an english muffin which is not a roll. Did we get value for money. No! I think this will be the last time we will...
