Eat Cafe — Restaurant in North Island

First time experience at this busy cafe (Saturday lunchtime) with a very extensive menu & very good quality cabinet food. It is busy for a good reason as the creamy chicken cabinet pie was delicious with light pastry & the coffee has a beautiful flavour. However the service time requires some working on, this aspect being to slow when they are busy. Still highly recommend due to the extensive quality of food on offer & extra large coffee option. Revisited on a quiet Monday afternoon & can once again praise the quality of their own made pie's & sweet options which are superb.

I am incredibly picky when it comes to eating out, especially with coffee. The Barista today I could not fault. It was an exceptionally smooth coffee. My partner and I both ordered the “Little Breakfast” and it was the perfect amount of everything and didn’t leave us feeling over full. Flavour in the mushrooms were beautiful and the sausage and bacon was delicious (so nice to not be dished up a kransky sausage). We always order poached eggs when we eat out and these were poached to perfection…. Not a hard yolk in sight! We grabbed a couple of the delicious looking blueberry and creak cheese muffins to take away as well. Will definitely be back on our next trip through. Excellent friendly service as well. Not impressed at all. A friend and I had lunch there last week I ordered a mince and cheese small pie. My friend ordered a lamb shank pie. The staff member did not ask if we wanted a salad or anything. To be honest I thought they came with a salad going by the price. When the meal’s came to us, they were just these two small pies on plates with nothing else. I think they heated them in the microwave because they was all soft. I probably should have asked about a salad though really just wanted to leave. I won’t be...
