Broadway Motel & Miro Court Villas — Hotel in North Island

Our party of five stayed here and it was a real treat! Spacious, clean and beautifully appointed rooms which felt like a home away from home rather than a hotel. We loved the owners who were so friendly and welcoming. A highlight is the huge open lawn with loads of kids toys and bikes, swings, a trampoline, a basketball hoop, table tennis, totem tennis, badminton, a large pool and a hot, clean spa!

We had a ground floor room facing onto the "parkland" - it was lovely to hang out and play and then watch the kids and other families enjoying the wonderful weather. We came to Matamata for Hobbiton but the hotel was an unexpected delight. Wonderful especially for families of all ages - there is something for everyone.

Let down for our 2 rooms that were booked in sept for this years trip with a phone call to say no rooms available and that they never got our on line booking, despite me receiving an email from their website to say confirmed, if I hadnt emailed again a few days before departing we would have arrived with no where to stay, 3 days left to frantically find someone else for 4 of us to stay, for this reason I will never use this motel again which is ashame as it was lovely

We stayed in two of the villas and both were amazing, beautifully decorated, good quality kitchen and everything you would need, spotlessly clean, rooms well ventilated prior to arrival. What a great surprise - looks just like an ordinary motel when entering - but when we saw our room, we were thrilled. We had one of the superior units (No. 4) and it was huge. Two queen size beds, very big room that was decorated beautifully. Felt like a real home away from home. We didn't have kids with us, but if my grandson was there, he'd never want to leave. Huge kids playground with lots of little bikes and scooters. Nice looking pool too. Caravan just across the road with very nice thai food -o they even brought it to our room !
