Their smorgasbord hot food is average. But their fast food, both hot and cold (sushi) is popular because of taste, pricing and location (at the Lambton end of Wellington). The premise itself is simple and adequate so long as you don't expect anything posh!

Their baos (Chinese steamed buns) are a steady seller throughout the day and that's no surprise as these are good but on the pricey side. They are one of the few shops which offer vegetarian buns, along with the sweet and roast pork options. As for their skewered dim sims these are hearty snacks especially when doused with their delightful chilli.

Update: Their consistently competitive pricing and value-for-money practice has seen them weather the Covid and now the recession fallout of 2024 very well. You'll find Parliamentarian staffers and tradies alike lunching here regularly. The food looked good but I couldn't eat it since, after some embarrassment trying and pay and failing for a couple of times, I had to figure out by myself that they don't accept credit card payment on their EFTPOS machine. My family and I had to drop all the food and drinks and leave. That is not the first time that I try to buy food from Asian businesses (in Auckland too) and the same problem occurs....
