Aroy Thai Eatery - The Terrace — Restaurant in North Island

They are definitely reputed but I guess because of that now they are not much willing to give better experience, even if customer goes away permanently!

I bought Chilli chicken, Vege option and it was alright, looked vegetarian. Two days later went again and I bought Fried rice from the self service machine and selected Vege option. I opened takeaway container after going back to work, and found lots of eggs. I contacted them on their email ID mentioning that - There was no clear indication on ordering system stating, there will be eggs in fried rice. This is not suitable to me and mentioned invoice number etc.

They replied and tried to educate me with definition of Vegetarianism but did not have any concern or say about the system that didn't show properly what's in my meal!!!

Additionally advising me - "Next time when you order, we suggest that you ask for no eggs."

Anyway, not showing content of my meal is bit weird, don't want to take it to legal proceedings but I would certainly avoid them because of not satisfactory reply and having no clear visibility of food...

I am a regular customer of Aroy (Thorndon, Cuba Street) and occasionally go to the Terrace's Aroy. I went there for lunch today with a colleague. We were both highly disappointed with our meals. We had padthai and chicken noodles and they tasted sweeter than sugar, the texture was very different from the version you get in Thorndon and Cuba Street. We ordered five meals and four of them were really tasty; we particularly enjoyed the rice and the fried chicken. However, the crispy pork was a let down - it was far too dry with no crispiness at all. In fact my girlfriend's mum stated that it was, and I quote, "dried to the core". This pork was arid.
