Kazu Sushi — Restaurant in North Island

Recently, I had the pleasure of dining at a kazu sushi restaurant, and I am pleased to share my experience.

Ambiance and Setting: The atmosphere was welcoming and the setting was well-designed, creating a pleasant dining environment. The interior was both modern and comfortable, contributing to an enjoyable experience from the moment we walked in.

Absolutely love this place!!! A great selection of fresh raw seafood, as well as cooked foods. My favourites... salmon roe, Kingfish, whole baby squid, scallops...all raw of course. My friend ordered the beef ramen noodles, very tasty she said. Next time I will try their matcha pudding drink, it looks interesting. The food is all served on little coloured plates...on a conveyor belt, known as a sushi train. We spent $130. for 2 very hungry adults. Quality Japanese food is never cheap...it was all worth it. Did I tell you, that I absolutely love this place!!! 😍

Still love this place, had all of my favourites. My friend ordered the chicken teriyaki Udon noodles this time and said it was very enjoyable. I was quite full when another yummy dish of fried lotus chips came out... unfortunately just too full, will have that next time. 😍

I have been coming here for 13+ years. It has changed names an presumably ownership more times than I can count. Which bugs me. My recent visit was a huge disappointment. The food is very limited in scope now. And the quality has declined a lot. The price has been remarkably stable though. Despite the place being festooned with "hiring now" signs there was a distinct lack of staff. Just one person avaliable to serve me and tend to the food making.They were doing their best. There were no bowls at my seat. No water was served. No top up of my beer was offered. I arrived hungry. I left hungry. It will sadly be my last visit. Surely there must be something better.
