San Fran — Restaurant in North Island

Coolest venue I've been to in ages.

Caught the recent "Two Hearts" show here as part of the comedy festival. We bought the tickets after we had had a few wines. But unlike some choices made post-wine, this one turned out to be great.

I had a good beer from a local brewery. The seats and view were excellent. The atmosphere at San Fran really enhanced the whole experience.

We ended up on a table with another comedian and her mum. They were a lot of fun. The mother told us all about her recent trip to Antarctica - sounded nice. She offered to take a picture of us and ended up with my phone the wrong way around. We were treated to a close-up image of her confused face on the screen that was pointing at us.

Would love to come again and hope we get a table with our entertaining...

We had our 2015 Christmas Function at San Fran Bathhouse for Pukeko Pictures, specifically the 'Thunderbirds Are Go' film crew. A fantastic christmas party - well organised, good food and , of course, great beer on tap, wine and drinks. The buffet style dinner was perfect - delicious selection of great food. The venue size was just right, with a balcony accessible to the smokers amongst us. Money well spent, made for a happy crew. bouncers are abusive and on a power trip. come here if you wanna be thrown down the staircase!! they turned violent which resulted in my friend being in hospital the next day. all but one bar staff member was useless and lost our property and didn’t even look where we had left our items, resulting in the bouncers intimidating us and telling us we must be ‘too drunk’. turns out, after all the shoving from bouncers, and pure incompetence and laziness from bar staff, our items were exactly where they were left and our friend is in hospital with both internal AND external injuries and a...
