Im a little late in leaving this review as my purchasing experience with Nick, Vee and Nigel at The Rolling Mill was back in June 2019. It was, however, probably to the best customer service and experience I have ever had. The Rolling Mill made an exquisite engagement ring for me in the short time that I needed, before my partner and I left New Zealand to return back to the UK. I dealt mostly directly with Nick who was unbelievably accommodating. He was able to meet me in store, reply to my emails and speak to me on the phone at my convenience (even if this meant staying late in store after closing time). I had some ideas as to how I wanted the ring to look and after meeting with Nick and discussing these ideas, he was able to come up with a drawing that was exactly how I pictured the ring to look. Nick took all the time I needed and was able to come up with ideas / suggestions that aligned with my budged. There is a lot to ring making that an outsider doesn't realise and for aspects I hadn't considered, Nick was able to suggest an advise what he thought might work best. He did this whilst keeping my ideas in mind and sticking to the vision I had in my head. Nick also did an amazing job in sourcing a diamond of the highest quality within my budget. The diamond obviously came with an official IGI grading certificate. My partner (now fiancé) and I had planned to leave New Zealand and return to the UK after living and working in there for 12 months. It meant a lot to me that Nick and the team were able to design and make such a beautiful ring at such short notice, in a country that we had had such a great time living and working in. Nick and the Team were even kind enough to hand the finished product over with a bottle of Champagne! Over all, the customer service and experience I had at The Rolling Mill and the quality of the final piece was more than five stars! I cant thank Nick and the team enough - you were fantastic. I never thought I could love a physical object the way I love the rings that Nick made for us. His amazing craftsmanship is matched by an incredible ability to listen to and understand what makes people unique, and to conjure this into art. I'm genuinely amazed by the Rolling Mill's work and can't recommend them highly enough.

I hoped to make a ring that would somehow incorporate elements from the lives that my partner and I have lived in different parts of the world. Nick listened to my story and my suggestions, and gently suggested we create a topographical ring that featured mountains that we had walked in the different places. I couldn't believe what a perfect suggestion that was and was so excited to get stuck in. Nick communicated really well throughout the process, taking on board all of my feedback and never making me feel too pushy for trying to get things perfect. He seemed as excited as I was to make it. I was amazed by his price of the single band as well- it was so special, unique, and so well crafted- I couldn't believe it. More money to splurge on other engagement surprises!

I must say, I was quite daunted looking into the whole engagement ring thing and was really dreading this experience. Nick and his team made this process one of the best experiences of my life. They are genuinely invested in getting what is perfect for you, and know how to get something you will genuinely cherish forever. I'm so proud of our engagement ring and many of my friends say it's the coolest one they've ever seen.

1000% recommend The Rolling Mill!

After having a bad experience elsewhere as I didn't know what I wanted in a wedding ring set and had what the salesperson thought was a small budget, I saw the excellent reviews for the Rolling Mill and thought I might as well reach out to the team there.

Nick was great to deal with, nothing was a problem and he was happy to meet with me at annoying times since I'm from out of town. He found a couple of stunning stone options, and Vee designed up a gorgeous ring based off my Pinterest board that looks even better than I could have ever pictured! Jan then made it urgently in time for meeting a flight so we could utilise the duty free collection option!

You will find down to earth, relatable people at the Rolling Mill, a small family-based business, and the jewelry is all hand made in Wellington.

Also really appreciate their communication over the design and manufacture period when I was a little stressed about if it was going to be done in time!

So so stoked with the end results, absolutely love it, and (not that it matters, since did I mention I love it?) but already getting lots of compliments on how beautiful it is. Thanks to all for your time...
