I am extremely distressed after todays visit at McDonalds Cambridge on the 22/01/22. We ordered two caramel lattes. One had full milk and the other was ordered with soy milk. My partner has an allergy to milk and milk products, which could put her in hospital. We were given our drinks at the window by an older lady with tattoos on her neck. The drinks were not labeled, so I asked the lady at the window which was which. She replied "I don't know" and pointed at one of them, saying she thought it had the soy milk. I replied asking if she was sure? To which she replied "anyway see you later" and slammed the window shut. I beeped my horn to try get her attentionback as I wanted to clarify which drink was which. The same lady returned to the window. I told her I wanted to see the manager only to get a response that she was! I explained to her my partners condition and she told me to taste it myself and work it out for ourselves. At this point, another lady was at the window and pointed at the other drink that was first pointed out as the soy drink, and said that that was the one with the soy milk in it. At this point, they have said different drinks. I then stated that the attitude they had was disgusting and they again slammed the window back in my face. Several times I was told they couldn't be talking to me with the window open due to Covid, however, how can you pay with your vehicle window open as well as theirs, but also, how are you meant to clarify your order if you can't speak to the staff? I then parked my vehicle and took both drinks into the store and asked for a refund as no one could tell me definitively which drink was which. I was met by the second lady again, who was extremely rude again and given a refund, which was $1 short. With this I left. Both of these people need to be spoken to by higher management for putting peoples lifes at risk and how they treat people is absolutely disgusting and extremely scary. Maybe some extra training on customer service needs to be done within the store as this experience was appalling and a complete overreaction for simply wanting clarificationon my order. What I have explained today I am very concerned with how they still have a job there. Very disappointed with the whole experience.

Read moreI would reccomend driving past this McDonalds and heading to one out of town if you would like an accurate order. Shockingly poor service. Blonde girl at the drive through didn’t take our order despite us sitting at the order kiosk to the point where we thought it was broken - we drove up to the window to order instead and the girl was on her phone. We then gave a very specific order which included a NYC Benedict Bagel with extra bacon, extra sauce. The girl became completely confused by this simple request and asked “wait what sauce” - we specified clearly hollandaise sauce. Because she hadn’t bothered putting anything on the screen for us to confirm, we repeated the instructions 2-3 times as she seemed to be confused to the point that we became convinced she was baked off marijuana (explains the red eyes). When we drove up to the next window and we’re handed a bagel with extra bacon, NO extra hollandaise, but extra tomato sauce AND bbq sauce AND mcchicken sauce. Given how clear we were to make sure she understood despite her obvious intoxication this appeared to be malicious. Good thing I checked while waiting in the drive though so we asked for it to be exchanged. We assumed order would be correct as we were very clear - extra bacon, extra hollandaise. Read moreBad and rude service. I ordered my food on the electronic order system and waited in line to pay for my order. Stood there for about 15 mins until the person in front of me asked to pay for his order. The staff took his order and was about to walk off leaving me waiting even longer but I then also asked to pay. After paying I waited for another 15 mins before receiving my order but they hadn't given me my coke. I asked the staff that served me 15 mins earlier for my coke and she sighed and dumped my coke on the bench and grabbed straws for other drinks but not mine, fully ignoring me. When I was eating my meal, I assume that she was on her break so she walked to a table with her meal and as she did, she gave a cold stare in my direction. Honestly this is the worst McDonalds I've ever been to and wouldn't want to come back. Rude and slow service, perhaps...
