We fell in love with New Zealand's coffee when we spent about 6-weeks exploring the north island a couple of winters ago. After we returned to Seattle, we missed the coffee so much that we decided to try find a place that would ship beans to us. And that's when we discovered Origin Coffee. We've been ordering coffee pretty much since returning. I told Roger today when re-ordering that it's a little embarrassing living in Seattle---"Coffee Town"---and not being able to find anything close to Origin's quality. It was a very nice and cozy place next to the train station( were only once an hours a train stoped). The coffee was really fantastic, maybe also because roger burned his own coffee beans. He showed us the different types of burning (American and Turkish) machines and we also learned how to make the coffees. The barista course was amazing. The owner, Roger, is charming and fun to talk to, and the Malawi Express drinks were perfect for an afternoon pick me up.
