The cafe is cute, cozy, and the staff are friendly enough. We ordered a flat white, hot chocolate, and two cheese scones. The drinks were delicious (flat white needed sugar) but the scones were revolting. I took two bites before abandoning while my husband tried to finished half - they tasted like they were made from sawdust. 😱😱 Worst texture - it’s not hard to make a scone but these were awful. The rest of the food looked ok but a bit on the high priced side.(A pie was $8) Probably wouldn’t come back for food but maybe if I needed to grab a coffee. They also had a shelf of gorgeous kiwi products for purchase that we perused while waiting for our drinks.

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE FOOD. I DON'T THINK THE CHEF...SORRY THE COOK KNOWS HOW TO COOK ANY FOOD. THERE WAS WATER DRIPPING FROM THE LAMB BURGER. THE STACK IS A $8 STUFF SOLD for $19 with no stack on the plate. Few diced kumara and potato with a super tiny poached egg and 4 leaves of baby spinach. The lamb burger was flavourless. When you eat red water drips on the plate. WOW! WHAT A BAD EXPERIENCE. TOLD THE STAFF BUT THEY SAID CANNOT DO ANYTHING! Do not dare to eat here.

The coffee and service were great, and the atmosphere was nice and cozy. The food looked great and was presented very well, but the flavors weren't fantastic. The Salmon Eggs Benedict were a bit bland, and the pancakes had some citrus to them that didn't quite appeal to my personal taste (not to say it was bad). The food was still good, though.

Our tour stopped here so we can get coffee and food. The ladies didn’t stress out with the amount of people coming in to place take away orders. They were calm, friendly, and made our drinks and heated our food quickly.

I ordered one of their Japanese teas, which was really good. I also got their butter chicken pie. One of the couples in my group told me about them and O Cafe is the first time I saw it available.

The ladies knew time was of the essence and asked if we wanted our pies heated in the oven or microwave. I appreciated that because of the tight schedule we’re on. As for the pie - wow! It was my first butter chicken pie and I’ll never forget it. The crust was flaky and the chicken was moist. The butter sauce was yummy. This pie was my gateway pie lol. I knew I had to get butter chicken pie wherever I saw it. I’m addicted and I plan to learn the recipe so I can make it at home.

The cafe has plenty of tables and seats. It’s a casual, welcoming vibe where you can get good...

Read reviews of the cafés in the area and we were going to go to the Village Bakery but being a Bank Holiday (we assume) it was shut. Their loss was our gain as we ended up here. Lovely, friendly and efficient service, followed by a very tasty quiche each and we shared the potato and bacon salad. Plus the best iced coffee I've had in a long time! The above with a pot of tea came to $47, so not the cheapest but excellent service, nice atmosphere and very good food and drink, we felt it was...
