The team here were fantastic- really attentive and pleasant to deal with. We had booked a table and rang to say we would be slightly delayed- no problem!
Arrived and decided the table by the loo wasn’t what we were really after so we were able to grab another. Loved that the staff grabbed me a chair with a back on it- much more comfy than the bench.
Beers ordered promptly (hey panhead, are you planning on offering a low or zero alcohol beer?, I had to settle for a 2% Macs which was okay, but I wanted to try a panhead), while the guys had the Pilsner. I had a half of Hazy with my burger. Staff asked me if I was driving (yup) and recommended the sandman- nice choice (and just as well)
Brisket burger and house burger( double patty) were delish. Side of fries which looked under cooked, but ended up being tasty.
Gotta say the staff looked really happy to be here and did a fantastic job. We’ll be back.
Downer- 3 cops parked at the entrance to Brewtown doing breath tests. I’m sure they had better things to do last night like stop the odd car theft...
Read moreWent on Friday night, was pretty dead but the weather was crap, we had a party of 14. Issues started with the drink order a long Island iced t came in a short glass, the second one came in a tall glass and was a completely different colour when we took it back they wer adamant it was a long Island (so I guess the first oen wasn't?), the two girls really didn't look like they wanted to be there their attitudes were poor and one even made a comment to the table of "who said something about my long Island?" we had ordered the platter I think we got about $80 worth of fries on it brisket sliced so thin I could almost spit through it and the mashed potatoe had a skin on it like it had been microwaved and then the gravy on top. The cost dosent not reflect the service or state of the food at all. If you want to pay nearly $30 for the wrong cocktail come here. I hadn't been here in a while but the whole table agreed it used to be the...
Read moreDropped into Panhead custom Ales to sample their Visa Wellington on a Plate burger. We tried to book, no replies to phone or Facebook so took a chance at getting fed. It was after 7.30pm when we arrived. The place was packed with only outside seating available. The staff were very welcoming and we explained our dilemma. The duty manager graciously enquired with the chef if he could supply two more covers of the delicious WOAP burger and he said it wasn't a problem. If you haven't experienced the Wellington on a plate burger selection at numerous eateries around the city and spilling over into the hill to Featherston, then mark it on your calendar. We were spoiled as we sampled the best burger in town first. Their lamb offering is scrumptious. The staff even cranked up the outside heater and supplied blankets as Saturday night wasn't outside weather. Top marks Panheads, we'll...
