Pantry d'Or Boutique Bakery — Restaurant in North Island

Used to be a really great bakery, sadly they sold and have become the typical NZ scam bakery. Stale bread on my chicken roll with brown avocado. A $8 beef pie with no beef in it, 2 50c sized pieces of beef in a bright orange vegetable stock/gravy that tastes like stewed carrots, no cheese I could see in it, maybe they waved a block over top to save money. Sausage roll that was all pastry no filling. Guessing owned by the same ones who own the Bakery at West End selling identical bright orange beef free steak and cheese pies and stale rolls. Do yourself a favor save your money and just go and get a cooked chicken and some bread rolls from the supermarket. It'll be fresh and enjoyable. They only take away options ! I asked to have a coffee to have here but it was only available in a take away cup. They need to rethink about sustainability and their environment footprint. The salmon sandwich only had salmon sticking out of the bread but none inside the sandwich, this is ridiculous ! Don’t call yourself a french bakery when the only french food is the pain au chocolat and it wasn’t even great. All their cakes seems to be full of cream and sugar. Yuck I really like the loaf of sourdough bread...

I popped in today for an early lunch. I had a pie and a drink. Yummy food. My disappointment was the service at the counter. The lady was a little blunt and no nice greeting or farewell. The biggest disappointment was the state of the entrance and the floor. Muddy dirt prints and the front of shop and door jam just filthy dirty. You serve top notch food and charge a top notch h price and you need to clean up. Sorry normally I would not comment but go have a look and you will see what your customers...
