After seeing the reviews I had high hope so hubby and I went for dinner for date night and unfortunately we did not have a good experience. I should add the restaurant was full so we were expecting a wait but we waited far too long(1h.45m)for the smallest entree ever! we ordered crispy chicken and I thought it was a joke when we saw what we had on our plate. It was purple cabbage scattered on a plate with what I counted 11 tiny little pieces of chicken(smaller then a pop chicken from kfc) on it and that is it. For a $12 entree that looked like the little bits of scraps left in the deep fryer after being used and put that on our plate. They were so hard and chewing it was terrible. By the time we got our main we were starving, my husbands meal was really tasty and he enjoyed that but my ribs were not. I’m not a big eater but I got one little pork rib that was completely dry and they poured some sauce on it with a few leaves on the side with carrot. To add to our bad experience I saw the waiter deliver food to the table next to us, 20mins may have passed and the man at the table called the waiter over and said they did not order the kebabs to which she picked the food up off their table walked it straight to us and said oh here is your kebabs, sorry for that.I politely told her we do not want food that has been sitting on some strangers table for the pass 20mins and if we could take it off the bill, which she did after saying “oh they didn’t touch it” 😳. All in all if you want to get full I wouldn’t say this is the place to go. I can appreciate with covid staffing can be an issue but our experience here was not good, sorry. The male worker did give us a 10% discount on our meal and apologised which was appreciated. However we left that restaurant and went straight to Taco Bell because we were...
Read more. (03/2018) This is the best Vietnamese restaurant I have ever been to. Conveniently located and can be easily spotted on the roadside. Easily approachable. Well managed, organised and nicely maintained. Good ambiance and comfortable atmosphere. Spacious and comfortable seating. Beautiful interior. Cheerful and cordial staff. Well timed and friendly service. Great variety of food and drinks with many choices for vegans and vegetarians. Tasty food and good presentation. Loved Fried Tofu With Vietnamese Tomato Relish. The traditional Vietnamese tea at this restaurant is awesome and was well recommended by the staff. Vegetarian Crispy Spring Rolls were quite good and better version of regular ones. Table service. This restaurant offers takeaways. Card as well as cash payments are accepted. Good for groups, celebrations, family, kids and catch-ups. Normally busy during evening. Outdoor seating is not available. Could not notice wheelchair accessible seating or high chair in plain view at this location. Entrance is not wheelchair accessible. There is no dedicated parking area available although street parking can be found around the entrance. Wheelchair parking is not available. Enjoyed...
Read moreWorst service in Welly. Drinks took 45 mins to come. Mocktails undrinkable. Over an hour to get a food order in and that was after prompting. Food comes out bit by bit. Confusion over orders, which end up being checked three times. Seems they were confused by the fact we had booked for 12 and only 11 made it so kept looking for missing 12th order and eventually made ghost person a soup. They got testy when we rejected ghost person's soup. They called my phone twice during the booking I noticed afterwards. Never asked again if we wanted drinks. Waiter was very soft spoken and impossible to hear. Food was ok. My order was missing spring rolls because that was a 'typo'. They ran out of bread. Water was dripping from the ceiling. No apologies for delays or confusion. Just a real miserable faulty towers type experience. AVOID.
Edit: reply to the reply. If the service had made it clear about the confusion it would have been sorted in 5 seconds. At one point the waiter read all orders out to a single person. How is that useful? I assume the 'waiter' was actually a cook because he kept a hat on the entire time and seemed like he had...
