Siam Thai Infusion - Taupo — Restaurant in North Island

Did takeaway only but few issues this time have had takeaway from here similar dishes, not normally an issue. Garlic pepper chicken was good but not spicy as specified. I didnt worry as they did give extra chiili flakes on side. Most important I got a three tastes fish fillet, supposed to be in tamarind and chilli, we ordered medspicy....it was a sweet and sour version with pineapple amd sweet and sour sauce, no tamarind or chilli at all...fed back review but they spoke to chef and insistent that they were not wrong no appologies at all which i was disappointed at or any recourse!

Update ..restaurant called next day to appologise about error and requested to provide free correct meal. The actual 3 fish taste dish and it was great. Thank you for resolving issue...suggest have system to resolve customer concerns such as checking meald before pickup or atleast review photo evidence or listening to...

The reviews and price seemed reasonable, so we decided to try this place during our stay in Taupo, but I have to say that we were a bit disappointed with the food. I ordered takeaway online. We were only given one small circular container of rice (when we ordered a green curry and a cashew and beef stir fry) and it was not obvious that rice was not included. We ended up making extra rice at home. I also politely asked for no onion in two places during the online order, but there was heaps of onion in the stir fry. If the dish can't be adjusted, then please don't offer the option of special requests for the meal. Furthermore the amount of beef and cashew stir fry in the container wasn't very generous, and the Pad Thai was a bit plain and bland... Well, the food was okay, but nothing mind blowing! The atmosphere was good and it was extremely busy. As a result the service was scarce. We had to go to the counter to get some salt and another portion of rice (the served amount was not generous). The Siam noodle basket was a great idea (with the broth, noodle, chicken, prawn and scallop), especially due to the crispy noodles basket, that added a crispy element. However, the dish was not seasoned well. The Penang (red) Curry was tasty, but a bit too sweet for our taste.
