Streetwise Coffee Taupo (Te Heuheu Street) — Restaurant in Waikato

During our recent holiday in Taupo, my wife and I stumbled upon a delightful little hole in the wall Melbourne-style coffee shop☕☕.

As visitors from Tauranga, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the coffee and friendly service.

The coffee was exceptional - rich and aromatic.

Despite our yearly visits to Taupo, this was our first time discovering this charming coffee shop. It's safe to say that it has won us over, and we look forward to returning on our future trips to Taupo.

My wife received excellent service and discovered that the man who made our coffee is also from our local area. Even more reason for us to visit 😉

We're traveling from Auckland and decided to try this coffee shop. (15/12/24) We ordered an iced coffee, iced berry, iced caramel, and passion fruit over ice. Most of the drinks were great, but the passion fruit over ice was a bit disappointing. I was expecting something refreshing and fizzy, but it ended up tasting like cold water with passion fruit syrup.

On the positive side, the service was excellent. The guy who served us was really patient and friendly, which made the experience pleasant overall. Good service and a nice spot, but the passion fruit drink could use some...
