This cafe does doughnuts RIGHT. Would happily come back for a sweet snack! We ordered 2x sweet treats and 2x sausage rolls for brunch - all different flavours. Pros: The blueberry custard doughnut and the banana caramel brioche were banging. Rich, flavourful, perfectly baked, and downright delicious. I'm salivating just thinking about it ! Service was very good too. Friendly, nice staff. We came at 10am on a weekday and the cabinet was so full of many options, the display was beautifully done. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options. Salads for gluten free folk too. The tomato chutney was good. Cons: I've taken off two stars because both of our sausage rolls were disappointing. The vegan sausage roll had no flavour and was dry - I had to ask for salt and pepper. I slathered it with the tomato chutney and salt to make the sausage roll palatable. I recognised kumara, rice, and an occasional lentil in the fillingg. As a vegetarian I never understood why vegan/vegetarian dishes lacked balance I.e. why is the filling so carb heavy? Surely it would make sense to use non-carb vege ingredients that add moisture e.g. Wilted spinach or soft tofu (to moisten), more lentils (maybe cooked in a tomato sauce with spicies to moisten and for flavour) rather than to essentially fill a pastry with more carbs ? My brother had the apple and pork sausage roll which he said was ok. He didn't think there was enough of an apple flavour.

Such a lovely buzzing place. All their cabinet food is pretty amazing. Very friendly staff. It’s a small place, maximum seating is around 12 people. Many people are here for take away food/ coffees. This time I had a delicious smoke salmon quiche, beautiful flavoursome vanilla bean custard donut, and a great big Latte. A friend had a vegan sandwich and Matcha Latte which she loved. Such a great selection of food! We definitely recommend this place.

Ordered a fruitylicious smoothie (boysenberry, banana, orange, honey & Greek yoghurt), hot mocha, iced mocha and flat white. Smoothie was really yum, coffees were ok but not super strong. Food - we had a chicken wrap which was super fresh and filled with crunchy leaves, as well as 3 nice scones (2x bacon and 1x herb). Also ordered the vegan chocolate cake with raspberry buttercream and it was 10/10 šŸ™šŸ¼ Staff not super warm but clean cafe.

Cute cafe with a good selection of cabinet food. Unfortunately we did not enjoy our drinks. $6.8 is on the pricier side for chai and it was mid. Iced matcha was milky, tasted seaweedy, it’s exactly what the kale superfood powder tastes like. I’ve had good matchas and this was not it. It was also $8.5 but for such a small glass (filled with ice cubes too). This place also doesn’t have a clear price for their drinks, which is on the more expensive side for cafes but not as good as other places with similar pricing. Giving a higher rating for the food, both the mango custard filled donut and raspberry buttercream dark chocolate cake were really yummy. Yet I’ve actually seen similar or the exact same food items at another cafe so they probably don’t make it...

Nice chilled vibe with a pleasant and inviting interior. Staff are friendly and helpful. Coffee here is delicious and the pastries too- crunchy outside, flaky centre. Pastry options range from sugar donuts, scones, pies to croissants as well as sandwich toasties. Prices for some food items are in the higher side but they do offer half price specials certain time of the week. Located off the Main Street of Wellington gives it a nice tranquil vibe while during lunch breaks, it does get busy. Would...
