The Leafy Stop — Restaurant in North Island

Wow - can't recommend this place highly enough. Stopped in for lunch and everything was A+. Atmosphere was chilled out and relaxing. Staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. Toilet was clean and spacious (with baby-change facilities). Service was fast, and I was really pleasantly surprised about the prices, especially once I had finished eating and realised how high quality the food was, making it great value for money. The thing I was most surprised about was the food. I am a meat-eating dairy lover, and didn't realise vegan food could taste so good. We had an "egg-mayo" roll and a "tuna" roll ("chuna" - haha!) and both were delicious and super-fresh. Also had an asparagus and leek stew which was also delicious. I really liked that they offered the option of having a tiny-bowl of the stew. I didn't want a lot, I just wanted to try it, so it was nice to have the option to just get it as a side-dish kind of thing. Will...

I spotted this sweet little cafe on the local community page and decided to pop in for lunch, so glad I did! It’s a small, cosy spot with such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The owners were absolutely lovely and took the time to chat with me about what they had on offer that day.

I couldn’t decide on just one thing, so I went with two: the vEgg Mayo sandwich and the curried spinach and lentil soup. Both were absolutely delicious! The sandwich was generously sized, and I got a small soup which was the perfect portion for me.

I ended up going back again because it was that good. This time I had the stew and the chia pudding, both so, so tasty.

My partner and I came in today as we had heard about your lovely cafe! We are both vegan so were very excited! The service was amazing and we felt well looked after by the kind owners.
