Bakehouse on Bond — Restaurant in South Island

Just went to visit this place today as I was craving a pie and walked past the other day and smelt it from up the street. I bought four pies and two pastries for myself and my partner. The pastry on the pies were absolutely delicious! Two of the three pies were an absolute hit and unfortunately the other two were a total miss. Butter chicken and creamy chicken pies were great! Steak and mushroom and mutton pie were not so great. The two pastries were a chocolate croissant and a blueberry pastry. Both were okay, nothing too special, the pastry on them were a bit dry.

The store was a bit dark, I wasn't completely sure if they were open until I saw the side door open.

The lady who served me was very friendly.

Overall I think they were okay, nothing too special. I'm a bit sad they were a bit of a miss as the smell from the street was...

Got off the cruise ship and headed into town . Was told theses pies are the best . Better than Aussie pies. Brought my son a pie . Best pie he has ever eaten he says . So thought I'd better try one then . He was right best pie I have ever had . The young girl working who was super nice . Said we had to try the sausage roll . It was her favourite. My wife had that and also said it was the best . Thanks to the young girl for her service and being helpful. Definitely see you next time...

Most amazing pies n food but the server was so rude who refused to serve me till i got off my meeting on my phone. This is unacceptable as first time i was trying put my mic on mute she walked away.
