over a week ago I made a reservation for dinner at the restaurant for Saturday evening at 7pm for my group of 13 people.
the restaurant was half full when we arrived 10mins before 7pm yesterday evening. we were shown to our table at the back of the restaurant.
After that they just left us on our own. didn't even give us the menus. we had to go the counter and pick up the menus ourselves. then they didn't even bother to come and take our orders. we had to try very hard to attract their attention to come to our table to take our orders.
in the meantime the restaurant was filling up with more people. we were really upset because we were starving and they made us wait so long for our food. we didn't get our food until 8.30pm.
worse thing was we kept seeing them serving the takeaways and uber orders while nothing for our table. small groups of people who arrived after got their food and finished eating and we still got nothing.
what a terrible service. they didn't even offer us any complimentary pappadoms while we were made to wait for an hour an a half.
really poor service. if you can't manage large groups, at least have the courtesy to decline our reservation.
even though we finally got our food and it was delicious, IT TRULY WAS NOT WORTH HAVING TO WAIT FOR 1.5HRS FOR.
if you have a big group, I suggest you go somewhere else with better service.
We should have gone to Spice...
Read moreAssuming this is a family owned restaurant because the place lacked leadership & professionalism. The staff were somewhat rude not only to myself & my partner but also to the poor lady who worked there who was actually really pleasant. Really strange business strategy in which the restaurant entices customer to ‘takeaway’ rather than eat in. Big indicator of this is the ‘restaurant ‘ looked like a takeaway shop and offered lower prices for takeaway, management should know that this is a red flag for customers. Considering it is our anniversary we wanted to go for a romantic dinner , that wasn’t the case. There was no atmosphere in the restaurant, no music. I’d recommend management eat at other places to get a feel for how a restaurant should be run. In terms of the food… lumpy mango chutney (quite clearly store brought), not a good start. The portions were actually very big, the food itself was good (lacked a bit of flavour). Quite clearly not fresh and that was obvious with the big white tubs of curry they had in the kitchen, not proper cooking. Proper indicator of a good Indian restaurant is the smell outside the building, recommend going to Spice Village because it smelt amazing, probably should of eaten there. Again, to that poor waitress, if that’s how you get treated, then please consider a new job, you...
Read moredecided to dine here last night for my 16th birthday celebration dinner, was looking forward for it until it took 30 minutes for our drinks to come out, 45 minutes for starters and then 2 hours for our main meals, which all tasted like spicy soup after majority ordered mild curries. an incident occurred while the first lot of curries were coming out where the male waiter was carrying 3 curries on a tray and was leaning over 2 of my mates and the tray was on a lean and some of the curry spilt all down the back of my friends hair and expensive puffer jacket. whilst the waiter attempted to clean it with a napkin he then flicked some of the curry onto my friends pants and had now caused a stain that won’t come out. he was not very apologetic towards them. i felt very upset as this was supposed to be a good night but we all ended up very grumpy because of the very long wait. they did end up giving us a 25% discount but that won’t change our minds on the restaurant and service. definitely will not be rushing back to dine at this restaurant for a while, they seemed very understaffed and slow with their cooking and service. thank you for taking the time to read this very negative and...
