If you're looking for an authentic Indian dining experience that tantalizes your senses, then look no further than Simply Indian in High Street, Motueka. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with the inviting atmosphere and the delightful aroma of spices and delicious food. The staff at Simply Indian are warm, welcoming, and accommodating, making your dining experience a pleasure from start to finish. Even if you don't have a booking, you'll be accommodated immediately with a smile, which is a testament to their exceptional service. The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the hot lamb saagwala. This dish was an absolute standout, with a generous portion size and an abundance of flavors that surprised and delighted our senses. The spices were perfectly balanced, and the lamb was cooked to perfection, making every bite a treat for the taste buds. Overall, Simply Indian is a must-visit for anyone looking for an exceptional Indian dining experience. From the atmosphere to the service and the food, every aspect of our visit was exceptional. The chef truly deserves compliments for the outstanding food, and we can't wait to return to this gem of a restaurant on our next visit to Motueka.

We wanted to treat ourselves to a warm dinner out after a cold week walking the Abel Tasman walk and this place didn't disappoint! The hardesr part was deciding what to choose as everything looked and smelled amazing - on the menu and coming past our table. The staff was very attentive, friendly and efficient. We ended up getting the platter entree as to be able to try a variety, alongside a curry (Paneer Butter Masala) our usual first choice at a new Indian restaurant and chilli and cheese naan. It all turned out to be excellent! The Sikh kebabs, chicken tikka, divine (and enormous) veggy Samosas and Pakora selection was perfect. Served on a sizzling plate as well! We will definitely be back.

Being a foodie myself and always on the lookout for a true and authentic indian restaurant in New zealand. I had no idea I would find one in this small town on my way to able Tasman. We have a restaurant back in wellington with the same name and the same street name as well !!. But this one is just outstanding. Lovely food, very good balance of spices and a very warm host Sabim. Absolutely loved the vibe, the food and the chat. An absolute must stop if u are in lookout for an authentic indian food experience on ur way to the beautiful beaches and walks in able tasman. PS: we were hungry and everything was so good, forgot to take pics.

An evening meal for 2 at SImply Indian comes in at an about-average price for a feast from the East, but our experience at this small, modest-looking restaurant was well above average. Why? Very friendly staff. Attentive. No language problems. Short wait for service. Meal arrived reasonably quickly. Piping hot. Young waitress obviously being trained well: fluently answered complex question about meal ingredients. Flavours rich and interesting, and created by someone with knowledge and experience. One of the best naans I've had. Curry (Lamb Madras) creamy and exquisite. Manager/owner/man in charge is professional and oozes an assurance that you will be looked after. So what would warrant the extra star? More opulent premises? Then they'd likely charge more and it wouldn't be...
