Food good but we told the staff we wanted to take our time we are on holiday from UK, and are enjoying time. with our family. Finished our main and as for dessert menu. Sat there for half a hour when the waitress came. We ordered dessert and she said you have five minutes to get off your table. I still had half a bottle of wine on the table and my husband had to down his beer. Then they came back to the table and grabbed everything and we were told we could not stay, but could come back and drink the wine and order more food tomorrow. This is bad practice. We originally came from Sydney and now live in Rangiora. Without a shadow of doubt this is one of the best Indian restaurants we have ever eaten in... The "Rangoon" in Sydney won numerous gold plates however the "Spice Village" in my opinion, is next level up on that! Stepping inside you can't help but feel relaxed, it's a very elegant setting. The service is quick, polite and peppered with information about India and its cultural history with food. And ahhh, the food! The smells are so enticing, when the plates were set down on the table we couldn't wait to dive in. At first bite we were wowed with how tasty it is - delicately balanced with plenty of flavor and gorgeous aromatics.
