Star Tavern — Restaurant in South Island

If I could give zero stars i would! Locals were lovely & friendly...however venue manager refused service when I was accused of being 'racist' by a patron of the gaming lounge. I had asked this person to please stop bashing his machine, only to cop a mouthful of abuse in return. This was reported to staff at the time, & corroborated by other patrons, however the person who verbally accosted me afterwards, appearing drunk & obnoxious, turned out to be the venue manager. Not a great way to treat paying customers to your otherwise beautiful city Nelson! Actually sitting here in tears writing this at the unfair way I've been treated. Check your bloody...

Great place for bar snacks with friends, however lack of mobility access to the gaming room & TAB area due to the amount of steps.

Would be great if they added a ramp up to the smoking area instead of 2 steps so those with mobility issues who can't get parks on queen street have another way to get in without walking around the...

Not sure what stinks the most? The place itself or the bar staffs attitude, the whole time you're there the staff make you feel like an inconvenience. Unfortunately Richmond is lacking in competition for this place so it's best to stay home. Can you give zero stars?? This place should just be called "garter" or...
