Black & Gold Coffee Eatery — Restaurant in Upper Harbour

Came w/ my fiancée and friend for a late lunch. I don’t usually leave 5 stars but here comes my first.

Service 10/10 - the lady at the cashier is attentive and friendly.

Food 10/10: I ordered Taro French toast, although it’s only the sauce that is taro flavoured, everything from the toast (light and crispy) to the fresh fruits (good choices of strawberries, two colour grapes and orange nice and ripe) was perfect. My friend is ordered a vegetarian eggs bene and they switched out the meat for avocados which my friend really enjoyed. My fiancée ordered normal eggs bene and he said it was delicious too!

Drinks 10/10: yummy strong chai latte that doesn’t taste like milk w/ 2 drops of chai. My friend ordered a mocha and said it was very delicious, good ratio of chocolate to coffee.

I recently visited Black&Gold Cafe and was pleasantly surprised by the amazing food and drinks they offer. I ordered a cappuccino and a hot chocolate as my drinks, and I must say they were some of the best I've had in a while. The coffee was perfectly brewed and the hot chocolate was rich and creamy.

For my meal, I especially enjoyed the avocado toast, which had generous portions of avocado and a nice sprinkle of spices.

Name pretty much says it all, it's coffee coffee coffee! We didn't come here for the food so I can't comment on that but their coffee is damn nice. Serving up beans for Society Coffee, the team here will whip up a nice cuppa for you to either eat in or have take away.

I did get some nibbles to go with my coffee though, can't really go wrong with a loaf and some pastry. What adds to this is the nice vibe of the shop it self so sitting in there and just chilling is exactly what you should do here.
