The Coffee Collective — Restaurant in Upper Harbour

Appears to be the middleman/supplier of coffee/tea related beverages/utensils/appliances etc. A pretty friendly team greeted me at the door of what looks like a large garage type area for stock with some shelves with demo items. Not set up for browsing but they'll show you almost anything you want to see/learn about. Also arranged to get a custom order sorted for me and shipping turns out to be really cheap so I'll do that for my second order which is substantially larger than the 1st so it makes sense. Turns out it's a local small business,not a large anonymous international corporation so I'll gladly keep supporting them. They treated me like a normal human being and I'll happily pay extra for that kind of interaction.

Cups weren't what we expected, they require pre-warming in a nuclear reactor otherwise the coffee expends all it's energy heating the cups leading to a lukewarm cup of coffee. We were after tulip cups, but the only examples available were in colours that could only be described as institutional in nature. Not good institutions either. So we thought the flat white cups would be a good alternative. We contacted The Coffee Collective but it took a few days for them to come back, and of course in the meantime we used them. They did offer to exchange them, but as noted there were no suitable replacements that wouldn't provoke 2am flashbacks of a gravelly-voiced nurse with a large syringe. On the positive side of the ledger, these cups would survive being hurled from a moving train, so we'll have them...

Yes I enjoyed my shop with you. This is all new to me, saw a coffee pot while watching YT so researched it there and how to make coffee using a moka pot so then went on to find who sells them. This is where i found your site which luckily is quite close to where I stay. Totally unfamiliar with Auck but with a map found the road, very few sites numbered but eventually found your courtyard, had to ask at the bike shop to locate you - suggest better signage for non-digital people like me. Have just used it for the first time now after watching helpful YT videos - used too much heat,it spluttered but I know for next time.
