KY Fast Food — Restaurant in Waikato

I have been disappointed by takeaway meals in Turangi, both the fish and chips past the petrol station, and the Chinese by the roundabout. The pie shop by the roundabout is very good but is only open early morning until about 3 in the afternoon. KY was recommended to me. It is out of the way and you wouldn't know of its existence if you don't live here. We had saty beef and vegetables, the one dish $18 was enough for two. Foods are only good enough for the price. Attitudes of the people in the night were a bit bad. About half of those Chinese dishes on the menu don't come with rice. We wanted to get a rice and it costs $8!! That's right. Its not a typo and a plane rice actually costs $8 for Christ's sake!! There is no highchair available in the shop and they don't allow customers to use their toilet. Got no pictures because I was just too hungry! After coming from the hot springs we were looking for a good hearty place to eat. Yozzzz. Turangi has the goods. With a menu that will spoil your choices, the portions at this place is crazy. Really busy place with phone orders coming through as well, we were happy with waiting a little bit longer.
