Burger Burger Ponsonby — Restaurant in Waitematā

Bought a burger here a couple of weeks ago and it was without a doubt the worst burger I’ve ever tried. As an avid local burger eater I was extremely disappointed when I got home. (Local 2 min walk away). The $14 burger I purchased from these guys looked as if someone had soaked the buns in cooking oil. It overall tasted like a cheap $5 maccas burger. I took a few mouthfuls and decided I wasn’t going to eat it. I’m not one to normally return food but this was horrible and my mate who is a chief suggested I do it for feedback. (Especially because of the cost of the burger) I took it back and asked for my $14 dollars back. The front girl said she couldn’t refund my money back as it was ‘company policy’ and that she would take my information and get there corporate to get in contact with me.

After a 3-4 days no one from there corporate got back to me nor did I have my refund. In the end I had to go back up the road and ask what’s happening. The kitchen manager was remorseful for the situation and then contacted his manger who then handed his phone over to me. The person I spoke to Ollie asked for my feed back and that ‘someone new’ had started in the kitchen and it was there fault because they used a particular type of burger bun. He also said he would sort my refund and persuaded me to give them another chance, plus a $20 voucher at there branch that would arrive in the mail.

The next couple of weeks I had to message this guy multiple times for him to remind him to transfer my refund. Also the $20 voucher never arrived (not that I will be going back) Not a great experience with these guys and yet was willing to give them another chance. . (04/2018) A little beautiful burger restaurant located inside Ponsonby Central. It is conveniently located over Brown Street and can be easily spotted on the roadside from a moving vehicle in normal traffic. Easily accessible. Well managed, organised and nicely maintained. Spacious and comfortable seating indoor as well as outside. Excellent ambience and cosy atmosphere. Well timed and friendly service. Helpful and cheerful staff who look after you throughout your stay. Plentiful variety of food including good amount of options for vegans and vegetarians. Delicious, huge burgers and good presentation. Table service. Offers takeaways. Reservation cannot be made in advance. PayWave facility is available at this location. Good for groups, celebrations, family, kids and catch-ups. Normally busy during peak hours. Good place for quick bite. Outdoor seating is available. Could not notice wheelchair accessible seating or high chair in plain view at this location. Spacious parking area with ample parking space. Only paid parking is available. Wheelchair parking is available although the entrance is not wheelchair accessible due to stairs. Parking slots are well marked. ...................................... Your Honey Cola is a 5/5 - however I've gone to the trouble of a 1 star review purely through second time scolded rage that someone within your establishment isn't smart enough to have ordered the right size takeaway cup holders for the cups you use. The first time I ruined my own day I put down to my own stupidity and carelessness ... but I have now come to realise the stupidity is not that of my own but a case of an ill fitting loose & plain unreliable cup holder. Should I have spilled this outdoors as I did last time, perhaps I would have remembered how great the burger was and been able to move on. This not being the case, the front seat of my luxury european vehicle is now soiled warranting a full Valet as there legitimately was not a single drop of Cola left for my enjoyment, my day ruined and the award for the biggest first world problem goes to me . This coupled with the fact I'm on annual leave lands you with this one star review as I clearly have nothing better to do.
