Okay, as you guys wanted, I left a bad review for your poor hygiene food and service even though our table spent a lot.
We came for dinner, and it was good until I found a STICKER on apple for my pork belly dish. I enjoyed the food until I found the sticker on apple, which it looks like when you wash the apple, you guys didn't take it off, which is not possible not to look at or maybe you guys thought, you didn't have to wash it, cause you gonna peel the apple to use, which is you guys are failed to remove all dirty stuff. Yes, people can make a mistake, BUT The more shocking thing was their reaction. when I showed it, they just said, " we confirmed that it was their mistake. They have too much work, so that's why." I said, " Is that all ?? " The manager said, "Yes, we can't do anything for you. If you wanna leave the bad review, just leave it." I said, " Bad review is not good for business. Why do you want me to leave the bad review?" He said, "It's okay, we can't do anymore."
He doesn't even ask if they can make new food or anything. Just saying it's mistake. That's all.
I know I work in the same industry, too. In that case, the manager or owner tries to offer a refund of the meal or make a new dish or free desert stuff.
After all long conversations like why do you do business like that. suddenly the other guy comes over, he said if i want, he can give you only 20% discount on one meal, nothing else. It's already ruined all good vibes. I felt like I'm begging for free food intentionally.
Anyway I didn’t get any discount or anything at all at the end. As you guys wish, I left my complaint here. I didn’t want to give bad influence to someone's business. But it seemed like you guys don't care at all.
Thanks for poor services and experience. Even though our table almost spent $1000. you guys saved a few bucks instead of making a future few hundred or thousands dollars. If you sincerely apologized to me at the beginning, not excuse about why the sticker is inside food. I wouldn't feel that bad. Good luck to you guys, I don't think we are gonna go...
Read moreI had high hopes when I entered, unfortunately, this place didn't deliver what I wanted to be another successful dine-experience.
We went there on Friday at around 5pm and the place was almost empty with two tables occupied inside, and one table occupied in the outdoor space of the restaurant. They gave us one of the worst tables outside next to the wall on the side of the restaurant (and that wasn't the only available table for two, which will just leave me question whether the staff is lazy to serve people on a square table in the middle of the restaurant, or whether they want those tables to make up for the ambient and just stay decorated for guests to watch... or maybe poor management? I can't really say).
The waitress that served us immediately brought us menus and offered water (sparkling, still or tap), so unless you are not sure whether you will be charged for ordering sparkling or still water (these two being mentioned in combination with TAP water) ask beforehand. She was polite and nice.
We ordered the Duck Pad See-Ew and the Market Fish which looked amazing and perfect, but did not deliver in terms of flavor and taste, AND IT IS ALL ABOUT THE FLAVOR. There was an intense note of lemon grass which reminded us of eating soap and the dishes were fairly greasy which was not cool at all (I ate only half of my dish since it was too much for me, lucky me for getting rice noodles with it).
After finishing with our dishes the waitress came with menu for us to order a desert, which we did not plan to do, because we were pretty disappointed and didn't want to spend any more money. The staff there is well trained in terms of getting you to order more in an interesting way (you know, being polite and all smiling... and they will slip you a menu) which was a bit imposed in our...
Read moreDisappointing and Unwelcoming Experience
We were a group of four enjoying dinner last Tuesday 27th May, but the evening took a disappointing turn about 8.45pm the manager came around to every table saying they could no longer serve drinks due to their liquor license — which struck us as odd for a restaurant on the Ponsonby strip, where late-night dining and drinks are the norm.
What made it worse was the atmosphere that followed. As the place emptied out very quickly, we were the last table — and the manager stood nearby watching us until we felt uncomfortable enough to leave. Not long after, he left too, which gave us the distinct impression that the liquor license excuse may not have been entirely truthful.
We’d ordered well and were genuinely enjoying ourselves, but the way things were handled felt disingenuous and unwelcoming. For a restaurant in one of Auckland’s most vibrant dining areas, it was an underwhelming experience — and one we won’t be repeating. The female waitresses however, were delightful, but Ravi spoiled the night...
