Onzon de Thai Kitchen — Restaurant in Waitematā

Sitting here at home 8:09pm (Sat night 17th May 2025)... tons of food in the cupboard, butfinished a long day at 7pm and just thought f#@k it. I'm done, I've been pouring energy into everyone else all day. I'm ordering in. Uber eats, some sorta curry, low expectations and please just fill the hole, soon and dont be too bland.

I don't usualy write reviews, but in this case. Thank you guys! Am now grinning, feeling less alone knowing someone else out there is also pouring energy into what they do, for other people. Best damn red curry ever, popping the hell outta my mouth. Great heat/flavours/delivery/packaging. Whole thing 10/10. I eat curry in all its forms A LOT. Thanks for not living up to my previously low expectations and making my evening a bit more cheerful! Keep doing what your doing and in the words of my dear departed mum... 'dont f#@k it up'. Lol....

We ordered via delivery so can't comment on atmosphere. We loved the pad thai, it was delicious and the roti bread and puff pastries were lovely and not at all greasy. Unfortunately the chicken larb was way too salty. It was almost inedible, which was a real disappointment. We will try again as I'm hoping it was just a one off mistake and two people salted the same dish.... we will give them the benefit of the doubt. Will update review next...

We were staying in a small hotel a 5 min walk away. We happened on this place and boy were we happy! Outside of Thailand this was the best Thai food we have had the pleasure of eating. We ordered too many dishes but we are happy we did because the green curry was soooooo tasty. I loved the cashew chicken and my husband stole half of my last spring roll! We would stay another night if we could just to eat here again! Price was good, portions...
