First time I've been to the Pt Erin Pools. Didn't particularly enjoy it. The pools feel messy and run down with rubbish left on the grass and leaves around the buildings that have clearly not been removed in a while. The trees around the pool cause leaves to enter the pool, and there are bits of broken pool toys floating in the pool. Some of the other customers are not considerate of others with bombs and splashes in the spa, which is more of a small warm pool rather than a 'spa' - an example being the kids body-slamming each splashing everyone, the 6 kids sitting on the steps blocking the only access, and the older kids throwing a ball to eachother near parents with young kids. Reflecting previous reviews, the main pool is cold - some solar pool heating in the main pool wouldn't go amiss. There are loose ropes strung up around the grass areas, but there is no indication what they are there for - maybe private areas...who knows. The amount of gear that some groups were hauling into the grass areas could home a small army - tents, awnings, bbqs, stereos, trestle tables...and the kitchen sink. The slides look dodgy as, and the diving platforms are just a continuance of the Manu Bomb Contest. I think the staff did a good job, but could do with some help. Their whistles were getting well used. I felt sad for what would be such an...

I went for an early morning walk 🚶♀️ at a beautiful off leash 🐕 park and then smack in the middle of the park was an open air swimming 🏊♀️ pool! It was so unexpected 😲 I quickly went and got my togs 🩱from the car 🚗 (I often have a spare pair).
The water 💧 in the main pool was cool and refreshing 😎 There is a spa as well. There were no bubbles 🫧 but the water was nice and warm ☺️
There are lots of picnic benches and umbrellas ⛱️ with BBQ facilities, lockers, outdoor shower, hydroslide, sun loungers, and changing rooms.
The pool is very shallow, with 0.5m - 1m. I guess 🤷 it's more geared towards kids 👶🧒 and lane swimmers 🏊♂️ The spa was 1.2m, but the seating is so high, your feet 👣 don't touch the ground, and you're more than halfway out of the water 💧 Unfortunately the pool is completely uncovered so when the sun came 🌞 I left.
With a bit of adjustment, it was actually a lovely 😍 dip. The casual rate is $8 per adult, and they have togs on sale for those who stumbled upon it, like me 😆
The park itself is also beautiful ❤️ There are dog friendly off leash areas, with paved walkways 🚶♀️incredible views over the harbour and a...
Read moreWhy anyone would pitch their gazebo under the shade while others without one have to go without shade is beyond me. Also staff allowing people to carry their BBQs in and wait for them to set it up before telling them they can't use it, is beyond me - Signage People or be aware of what is being carried in. Toilets & Showers need a scrub otherwise don't forget to have footwear cos the floors look like a breeding ground for fungal infections. Changing room is huge and clean though. Pools are nice and great for kids although the babies tend to want the warm pool. So parents take turns. Plenty of stuff in the water for older kids, slides and jump boards for the "many" competitors. Not a real competition but you can see everyone trying to outdo one another. Pleasant way to spend the day or just to cool off. Suggest taking your own food too save $$$. Didn't take many pics but we're under shade (natural) which is more...
