Came on a Friday night for dinner, drinks and the live music. The vibe in the bar is super fun, very lively and the music is awesome. Crowd is a bit older (late 40s, 50s) with the live music matching this era. Good selection of wines, cocktails and beers (including a few non alcoholic beers). Food is very much bar/ pub vibes and quite honestly doesn’t seem to match up with the vibe / crowd. Feels like the menu should be a bit more sophisticated. Menu is mostly burgers, tacos, selections of fried food. There are a few proper mains but only like three. We tried the pork belly sliders (yum), shoestring fries with truffle oil and Parmesan (this was a bit weird as this is only the fries on the menu but we were given plain fries with ketchup. When we queried this, she apologised and said she had put through the wrong item but like there wasn’t even an option for fries and ketchup on the menu???), the beef tartare (husband had and said it was delicious although would have been better with bread or crackers rather than tortilla chips) and the cheesy garlic bread with kimchi (was a bit odd but still good). Food was definitely on the more expensive side for portion size We had a great evening and would definitely come back for drinks and the music and snacks but would probably have dinner elsewhere or just not plan for...
Read moreJervois Rd Wine Bar + Kitchen delivered an exceptional dining experience that exceeded all expectations. From start to finish, everything was flawless.
We started with the lemon pepper calamari, which was perfectly tender and seasoned to perfection. The truffle fries were indulgent and had just the right amount of truffle aroma, making them impossible to resist. The wagyu beef sliders were a highlight – juicy, flavorful, and served with a delightful balance of textures.
The mains were equally impressive. The wagyu brisket was melt-in-your-mouth tender and packed with bold, rich flavors. The lamb cutlets were cooked to perfection, beautifully tender with a touch of smokiness. The goat cheese croquettes were a creamy, crispy delight that added a perfect complement to the meal.
To top it all off, the pomegranate sour was a fantastic choice – expertly mixed, refreshing, and a great pairing for the food.
Every dish was presented beautifully, and the flavors were nothing short of incredible. The service was warm and attentive, and the atmosphere of the bar was cozy and inviting. Jervois Rd Wine Bar + Kitchen is a true gem, and we can’t wait to return for another memorable dining experience!
5/5 stars....
Read moreTLDR: If you have kids just dont go to this place, theres plenty of good restaurants in the same street.
Good location with plenty of parking on the street and easy access, the food is a lot expensive for what it is with most of the plates costing $45+, unfortunately very generic food with nothing especial, dont go with any expectation because you probably cook way better food yourself. It was our first time in this restaurant and surely the last, before booking I called the restaurant to check if I could bring my two kids with me and the waiter was very accomodating allowing them (1year old and 6 months old) but when having dinner we had the worst treatment possible with the waiter making noises, rolling his eye, snorting and putting very effort in his body language to show that we were not welcome there... thats even with our table in the very back of the restaurant and far from other guests (in front of the toilets)
and whatever you do don't order churros! trust me its just a soggy thing dripping oil and will...
