Popped in here very quickly today to enjoyed an iced matcha latte in between meetings. The presentation was immaculate. I have to say, the team working today was just so lovely. They had a bunch of drink and donut options it was all very tempting! The place is so cute, and they had a lovely flow of customers that the team treated like regulars (they probably were because if you love/work in the area you would be). They are doing everything right and I can’t wait to swing back. Thanks so much team. Jess, Hospitality Specialist Kakapo Business Sales

I’ve been coming here at least once a week since it opened and have never been disappointed. The filter coffee is always great and I love that they cycle through different beans (sometimes from overseas roasters that you won’t find anywhere else) - the seasonal drinks are also unique and delicious (dirty nut latte my beloved🥜🥰). The korokke is definitely my favourite snack, but the kkwabaegi are probably the best donuts in Auckland. Also the owners are also the nicest, friendliest people, so you should stop reading this review and go support them.

Delicious donuts and drinks, great service, and very aesthetically pleasing decor/vibe. I love the texture of the donuts - it’s not like a regular donut, it’s a bit more chewy (in a good way). I see a lot of comments about the price of the donuts being steep but I’ve personally never felt that. For me, the price is reasonable given that they are a small business, they put a lot of care into the packaging and presentation, and the donuts are specialty items. (Plus all their drinks and hotdog are market price, so I trust their donut valuation)

Great service, great drinks and great donuts!

Love the donuts here, they have a lovely chew to them and the team churns out fresh batches throughout the day (they are best eaten fresh!). The flavours are on rotation and I have loved all the ones I’ve tried so far (original, cinnamon roll, garlic parmesan, crunchy). The savoury korokkes are absolutely delicious and so crunchy!

I have also had drinks here and really enjoyed the einspanners (both the coffee and matcha ones were lovely). I can’t wait to go back again.

Would suggest pre-ordering if you want to try any specific flavours, as they get very busy sometimes. They take pre-orders via instagram DMs.

Owners/staff are absolutely lovely and kind which makes me very happy to...

Unpopular opinion coming right up. While the doughnuts were tasty, I do feel that it is rather overpriced. And tastes similar to most deep fried asian bread product - which I could score for half the price at the Avondale markets.

A glazed doughnut is about $6, and the flavoured ones are $8/9 a piece. I guess it could just be the going prices these days.

The takeaway boxes are quite pretty, and it makes for a very nice "gifting" box. But I'd take a brown paper bag any day if that would knock the price down.

I get the angle. But it's a tough price point to swallow.

On a separate note, the service is lovely. And while there is very little available seating, the atmosphere was welcoming...

I came here with my brother for the first time and the place was bright, cute and inviting. The couple that owned the place were lovely and when I asked them questions regarding their choice of decor...etc...they took the time out to answer me despite probably having been asked the similar questions hundreds of times before. The coffee was perfect I couldn't fault it. I had an espresso and the shot looked, smelt and tasted amazing. I was in coffee heaven. 😍 I also purchased the original kkwabaegi but I gifted it to someone unexpectedly so hopefully next time I'll get to try it. It'll just give me another reason to drive to Mt Eden and have another one of their...
