Honestly a really average and expensive experience. We walked in and let the front of house know we hadn’t booked but were after a table for 5. The customer experience we received was super average, instead of looking to see if she could make something work or even offering us to wait she just said there isn’t one free. So we’re all just standing there with no options to dine in. We saw a table clear and I asked if we could grab that one and instead of saying yes, the waitstaff said oh that’s a really big table it’ll take me at least 15-20 min to clear. Again, we were just a bit like ??? standing there not knowing what to do as it’s clear they didn’t want our business and were basically coming up with any excuse to not have us dine. Anyway we said we’d wait and they ended up making us a smaller table that would be “quicker to set up”. We were grateful and thankful they ended up sorting us out.
We ordered food and for the most part it was fine, honestly nothing special other than the orange beef. Service was really average, a bunch of young teenage girls who looked like they wanted to be anywhere else which I mean I do get it being late on a Sunday, but still, not a great look when they’re all moping around and taking Snapchat’s Infront of everyone to see.

Read moreWe arrived at 5:30 for dinner with a toddler and ordered straight away. The restaurant was mostly empty. Forty minutes and we hadn’t seen our meals. In the meantime our toddler starts to play up. We had to ask the staff to speed up the food for our toddler. People who came in after us are receiving food. Our toddler isn’t having it. I am pregnant and starving! We almost walked out twice due to the bad service. Our toddler gets his food but is already over-hungry and our soup/entree had been and gone but there is still no sign of our main meals we have no idea how long they are going to take! Finally I wave down a waitress and tell her we have to change to takeaway because our kid isn’t handling the wait. And the wait continues. I get that it’s a Friday night and you are busy but we were the only people in the restaurant when we got there. Waiting over an hour for food is unacceptable. Spending $90 on Chinese takeaways is unacceptable! I could have spent half that amount and got it in half the time. I told the waitress as much and she offered to go get the manager and I said “so what I can wait longer? I am pregnant and still haven’t eaten and my toddler is still screaming! So no I don’t want to wait around for a manager.”

Read moreBooked and arrived on sunday we were a Group of 7 children and 8 adults seated at 2 tables -- orders taken together 7 childrens and adults individual -- this was for an 10 yr old B/day and it was her choice to come here as a couple of years ago her G/grandmother B/day was here and she had wonderful memories of a great night -- UNfortunately Sunday was not an enjoyable experience Children were fed.. BUT the adults meals did not arrive until nearly 8pm -- later I spoke to the Manager whose excuse was Very Busy I told him I was not happy as the children aged under two to 11 yrs and this was very late for us to have to get the children home etc ready for school the next day but his attitude was "non Committal and unfortunately this ruined and we took most of our food home as it was too late for the children plus an 85 yr old who still need to drive Over the Rimutakas
PLEASE think of us who have booked for a meal -- if you are TOO BUSY refuse bookings and stick to takeaways that seemed to be getting very Quick service after many visit over the last 25years this was possibly ...
