Not recommended. Very interesting experience tonight. We saw the wildly fluctuating reviews for this establishment but decided to give it a try since it was very close to our accommodation and Italian food sounded good. We arrived around 6pm and were the only people in the place. We stood at the counter for 3-4 minutes before anyone appeared to acknowledge us. The fellow passed me a couple of menus over the counter and then turned away into the back area. We picked a table, sat down and reviewed the menu. For over 10 minutes, we heard a bunch of clanging and banging but nobody came into the sitting area. Finally, the same fellow appeared, asked if we were ready and we said yes. Il Piccolo is an absolute treasure! From the moment we walked in, the warm, intimate ambiance set the perfect tone for a cozy evening. The decor, soft lighting, and old-world charm create a truly authentic Italian vibe.

The food was outstanding. We ordered a pizza and a creamy mushroom pasta — both were cooked to perfection. The pizza had a crisp, thin crust with generous toppings, and the pasta was rich, flavorful, and comforting. Every bite was delicious!

The service was attentive and friendly without being overbearing. You can tell the staff genuinely care about your experience.

Me and my partner have been wanting to dine here for quite some time so when we decided to go last night I was quite excited. First impressions of the restaurant was how homey and inviting it felt. Quite small and intimate which I love. We were then greeted by the lovely man behind the counter - couldn’t rate his service enough he was really great. We ordered dipping breads and 2 different pasta dishes, me and my partner thoroughly enjoyed everything it all tasted really fresh but at the same time rich and filling.
